Stopped Covid hairloss
Last June I caught Covid. The most undesirable side effect I experienced was massive hair loss to the point that my hair line receded and I developed bald spots. It got so bad that I avoided brushing my hair. I experienced stomach cramps when I first started taking it but not going bald was worth it to me and the stomach issue went away within a week. At around 45ish days on Viviscal Pro, the shedding had been cut in half. By month 3 my hairdresser saw new growth all over my head and by month 6 I MAYBE shed 20 hairs a day (50-100 is average), my hairline receding is gone, and my bald spots have all bit disappeared. My hair is getting thicker, shedding less than even before Covid, and the new hair growth is thick and shiny! Ordering another 6 month supply!

I’ve been using the Pro product for over a year plus minoxidil as directed by my derm for thinning hair due to too much testosterone in my system. I also have spirolactone (sp?) prescription. These 3 things together have made a noticeable difference in my hair. I wash with Routine brand shampoo and conditioner, also helpful. Finally I take 3 Natures Bounty advanced hair and nail gummies from Walgreens which are surprisingly very good. Noticed it in my nails too. It takes time to get results. Hang in there. I added everything I use in hopes it helps someone because I read reviews too and appreciate when others give info, especially on hair loss which needs a multi faceted approach. All these things helped me and I have much thicker, healthier hair.

Coming back to Viviscal!
I used Viviscal extra strength for years and loved it. I then switched to a different brand in 2020 after a couple of big hair shedding events (menopause, COVID, stress…) I’m not sure it works any better than Viviscal, so I’m switching back for a few reasons. Viviscal is less expensive, it only requires 2 pills/day versus 4 pills/day, and it doesn’t have the high does of biotin, which causes digestive problems for me. Plus, there is no significant evidence that high does of biotin help with hair growth. I’m excited to try the Pro formula!

Hair is Growing Faster
I purchased the product because of thinning hair. While it will take some months for the thin spots to fill in, my hair is definitely growing faster. I could usually wait at least 6 weeks between root touch-ups, but now the roots are really popping out at 4 weeks. I am optimistic that the thin spots will be improved by using this product.
