SkinMedica's powerful, effective brightening treatment uses a proprietary LTN Complex, which includes ultra-concentrated lotus seed extract (LSE), tranexamic acid and niacinamide, to help address six pathways of discoloration, hyperpigmentation and dark spots. When used daily, skin is left looking brighter and more even-toned.

In a twelve week split face clinical study, this treatment serum was shown to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation with similar cosmetic efficacy to 4% hydroquinone.

I've been using this religiously for the past several months. I have light skin that is prone to freckling/hyperpigmentation. I really can't tell it this is doing much. However, it is moisturizing to use at night. Some might not like the tacky feeling. I don't know if I would recommend using this during the day because of the texture.

Every Product takes time. This is not going to give you your results in a month if you have had stubborn dark marks for years. Yes, the price is high, but if you keep up with it for at least 6 months with maintaining SPF and a great skin barrier you'll see results. If you want results like right now you need to get in house procedures.

I love SkinMedica, but I am unsure if this product is going to do what I’m wanting it to do. I have brown spots on my face and want to at least fade them. So far, I have seen no effect, but have only been using it about two weeks. I put it on before my other serums and hydrators two times a day. Fingers crossed, I will see results.

Not as effective as the acid creams & acid pads

Used many bottles and found this serum not as effective as as the pads or the acid creams. I already have pretty great skin but I didn’t find this serum particularly effective at lightening what little pigment I have. Also, my skin seemed to get a little acne from it.

I’ve tried many treatments from serums and facials to professional chemical peels to fade my acne scars and hyperpigmentation. This product has actually worked! It is already at a high price point, reducing the bottle from 2.0 oz down to 1.7 oz for the same price isn’t ideal.

After two years of use, my acne scars are lighter though not completely gone. I will continue to use this product. You have to be consistent about using it. I use it every night under my moisturizer and it has a nice texture as well. Personally, I prefer this product over the hydrator.
