Does what it states. I tend to put it in my hair (due to it being fine) after my nighttime shower then rise/wet in the morning. I have to wet my hair to style; I use a dryer and round brush. Makes my hair not as dry and looks much healthier. This is just how I use the product due to my hair type. I don't feel that it weighs it down or anything. I have shoulder length hair and I use just about half a pump. Works great as a detangling.
