Everyone always wants to know what Dr. Joel Schlessinger uses on his skin so he has decided to lay out exactly what he uses. Here is his skin care regimen and the products that he keeps coming back to time and time again.

Hands down, the LovelySkin and LovelySkin LUXE lines are Dr. Joel Schlessinger’s favorites. Over the years, he helped formulate the products that eventually made it into the line.

“I have used the LovelySkin line for the past 20 years in some form of another as I personally developed it,” he says. “It seemed to me that the best way to formulate a line was to test it on friends and family and refine it.”

Dr. Joel Schlessinger had a hand in creating the LovelySkin LUXE line over the past year. The entire line if sulfate-free, cruelty-free, paraben-free, gluten-free and sodium lauryl sulfate-free. The first step in his routine is always LovelySkin LUXE Clarifying Gel Cleanser, which contains salicylic and glycolic acid to exfoliate and purify skin.

After cleansing, he goes right into two incredible new anti-aging products from the LUXE line. For dark circles and crow’s feet, he uses LovelySkin LUXE Brightening Eye Cream. The formula uses self-adaptive optical technology to diffuse light and instantly brighten the eye area. He also uses LovelySkin LUXE Cellular Anti-Aging Peptide Serum, which targets fine lines and loss of firmness. He uses them in his skin care regimen all year long but switches up the formula based on his skin’s needs. The formula is extremely lightweight so it does not feel greasy on skin and is gentle enough for even sensitive, acne-prone skin types.
