Not my favorite lip product

Don't get me wrong; the colors are beautiful. But this product is MESSY! You have to put it on CAREFULLY and let dry. Then you need to remove any excess with a tissue. it sometimes sticks to my teeth, and usually it's on my hands and all over the bottle. Just not worth the hassle. I much prefer Jane Iredale tinted lip gloss.

Lip stain

The product itself is nice, to me it feels better with the lip gloss over it. The color that I chose unfortunately has an orange undertone that does not work well on my skin. Online ordering for colors is so hard. I wish that color samples were available!

Alligator Lips

The Jane Iredale lipstick hardened into a hard surface that highlighted every line in my lips-which I didn't know I had. My lips looked like two little alligators. I thought a lip stain would behave differently. I threw it away.

Last a long time

Love this lip stain. I apply it in the morning and it stays on for a long time. It is drying, so I also use Jane Iredale HydroPure Hyaluronic Lip Gloss to give it shine and hydration. These two combinations work perfectly for me.

Very Disappointed

I had really hoped this would be a great lip product for me but I found this to be very drying and uncomfortable to wear. It also did not stay on for long. In all fairness, very few lipsticks seem to stay on very long for me but I will not even wear this anymore. It will unfortunately go in the trash.

Beyond Matte Lip Stain

I really like this matte lip stain. Applies easily and lasts for a decent amount of time. Using a lip primer helps it last even longer, or use a lip pencil first, outline and then fill in with pencil prior to applying and the stains staying power is enhanced even more. I’m disappointed to see it listed as discontinued.

Picky Customer who loves Craving

Please ask Jane Iredale not to discontinue Craving. I am a blond with a medium light skin tone. Since finding this product and color, I no longer bother to look for another... this coming from a skin and makeup junky. I don't go without it...perfect color for me. Very nice lip stain with staying power. I hydrate with a lip therapy such as Fresh Sugar Lip Therapy (it is just what I happen to have in my drawer at present). 37 actives is really good but pricey. Sometimes I just let a cooking oil absorb. Anyway, let whatever treatment you use soak into your lips...then add your lip stain.

Long lasting lip stain

I purchased this lip stain while looking for something to replace a lip stain product I had been using that had long wear but always dried my lips out. This lip stain solved the issue! It is long wearing and doesn’t dry out my lips like other lip stains tend to do. I would definitely recommend it if you like the benefit of long lasting color but not the drying effect of most lip stains.

This lipstick stays on and looks natural:-)

I used the lip fix that this product replaced for years. So I was very disappointed when it was discontinued:-( But Jane Iredale has done done it again and come up with an improved product! It is matte…but has a natural look and is not drying. I live in the desert so sometimes I put a gloss or lip conditioner lightly over the Lip Fixation. The joy is that it really stays on through a normal day of eating, exercising or even swimming! I love this product and will always have a back up…so I never run out!

Great for older women with lip lines

I have to put in a good word for this lip stain -- it's perfect for women like me, who have trouble with most lipsticks that "bleed" into the lip lines after application. This one stays put and looks fresh for a while. I do wish it lasted longer, but like I said, I love that it doesn't bleed into my lip lines. It defines my lips without a lip liner too -- another plus for older, sensitive lips. Great product, in my book, and I just ordered more colors!
