Excellent Product, Poor Applicator

I love this setting powder! It blends and blurs beautifully, and the SPF component is sets this product ahead of regular setting powders. As with other powder SPFs, the applicator is a miss, meant to let you reapply through the day, but it does not come out consistently. So I simply put a little of the powder in a glass dish and apply with a brush or beauty sponge. The product is good enough to ditch the applicator completely!

Listen IN! This product is fabulous

Hi There! I'm a Miami native who has been a boating, scuba diving , sail boarding and other outdoor fun entusiast for DECADES. I've left Fl but not Jane . 've used Jane Iredale Dry Powder Me SPF since it first came on the scene way back iand was in different packaging . I've used it alone as well as over other higher SPF cream/lotion SPFs - which can sometimes be too shiny. It's usually recommended by Derms and product labels to REapply all sunscreens every so many hours - which can sometimes be next to impossible, - right? But here we now have this very purse. tote bag friendly PORTABLE packaging that makes sun protection easier to apply. I have very sensitive skin and Powder Me has never caused a breakout problem - alone OR over other sunscreen. No icky white cast either. I'm now 71 and my skin looks great. I'm regularly told I look 15 yrs younger. I don't know about that - but it's never too early or late to use products that keep your skin protected ! The portability, the easy layering, The shine off - a win win!

Translucent Powder blends nicely with the added benefit of sunscreen. However, I found the apparartus that holds the powder to be an issue. Now, it may have been operator error, but I ended up with powder everywhere except the intended target on first opening. Thankfully, I can use the powder in the plastic container without brush. JI, please offer without the brush. Again, powder is great!

Despite the price tag, this is a good value due to the extra powder & great quality, easy mess free dispenser & the brush is soft yet full! Reapplying sunscreen has never been easier & though you shouldn’t solely rely on just this & always use sunscreen underneath, it’s nice for on the go & convenient for your purse! Also, as someone with combo skin, I’d describe the finish as satin-like? It’s not all mattifying & still lets some dewiness show thru. I’m reallyyyy happy that there’s a translucent option that’s truly just that - translucent, as most SPF powders out there end up looking too orange or yellow on my cool toned fair skin.

Good Sunscreen but not the applicator

I have been using Jane Iredale Powder-Me SPF 30 Dry Sunscreen for almost 8 years. I love this product very much until Jane Iredale changed the applicator into the current brush formulation. I'm so disappointed with the applicator as it has given me thrice faulty usage. It was either the applicator canister got stuck and was not able to turn or the powder was being stuck and no powder came out from the brush. It was very frustrating. I would not want to bring this product with me during my travel as now I do not have confidence in this product anymore due to several failure.

Great Sunscreen

I’m 35 and trying not to leave the house without sunblock on every day. I wear like 100% black and I’m always annoyed when I’m already dressed and then trying to put some kind of sun protection on my neck while trying to avoid white stuff on the edge of my shirt. This product has been great for that! I also use quite a few face products in the morning and I always feel like no matter how long I wait to put sun protection on (if the sun protection is in liquid form) the products always pil. So this works perfectly and I also put it over my make up. There is a little learning curve to using the brush but I like it! I’ve only tried the translucent powder.

Perfect Coverage On-the-Go

To begin, I swipe the applicator brush 3 or 4 times across my hand. 2. It brushes just the right amount of powder on my face. 3. Easy to apply

This brand works better than another product available with Lovely Skin. The translucent color does not interfere with the look of makeup, it's easy to apply and after several months, the applicator has not clogged. Don't try to put it with your carry on luggage at the airport. I get pulled over every single time - what is that large, unidentifiable object in that carry on?

Somehow I bought this without realizing that it contains only titanium dioxide for sun protection and not a combination of titanium dioxide + zinc oxide. Titanium dioxide provides protection from UVB and UVA2 rays only. It provides no protection from UVA1 rays, which means you are completely unprotected from one of the UV types that cause skin aging and cancer. It's my mistake that I failed to realize this detail. However, I believe the brand should be clear about this, because the info provided is misleading and consumers will buy this thinking they are getting complete protection when they aren't.
