I usually cannot tolerate sunscreen of any sort - chemical agents cause immediate red burning on my skin, and even some physical ones will cause hives and itching. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Gentle Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 so far has been great! Slight white cast initially but it sinks in, otherwise sometimes I also mix in a little tinted bare minerals moisturizer for some glow. Best of all though, no sunburn and no adverse reaction!

I have no doubt that this sunscreen protects your skin. I don't like it because it goes on as a thick white layer and doesn't get much better. I use a lot of sunscreen because I need the protection when I golf. Possibly if you use a very small amount you might get a better result. But this one is not for me.

I'm always looking for a great mineral sunscreen. The pro about La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Gentle Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 is that it's as gentle as its name. The cons are that it's thick to apply, and it leaves a noticeable white cast; I'm quite fair and yet this sunscreen is very white on me. It eventually soaks in a little, but the problem worsens with each re-application. I'm using it up on my arms and face when I'm at home, and don't plan to re-order.

After many unsuccessful tries, this is the best very-low-silicone sunscreen I can find for daily use. It's a bit thick in texture, but don't let that deter you! I use bare minerals complexion rescue tinted moisturizer on top (after blending in the white cast, but before the sunscreen is completely dry). I'm happy with the way this sunscreen protects facial skin, and it wears well year-round. Great for makeup application - does not make products pill, and doesn't dry out skin. Nice product. Hoping this review helps someone who had a similar sunscreen-search saga.

It has a lovely creamy texture that melts into the skin and leaves a satin finish. Being a 100% mineral sunscreen, a cast is expected but the cast level is very low (in my opinion) among mineral sunscreens. My preference is layer a thin layer of tinted sunscreen on top of it if I need to go out. Also unlike a lot of other mineral sunscreens, this won’t dry out my skin at the end of the day.
