I used LovelySkin's salicylic acid cleaner for a few years and always had good results, but I recently started using a retinoid so wanted something gentler and more moisturizing. I don't usually like how cream cleaners feel, but decided to give this a shot given my success with it's sister product-- and I'm so glad I did! Even though it's not foamy, my skin feels cleansed of all dirt/debris without feeling stripped. In the past, retinoids have made my skin extremely dry and red, but this cleanser seems to have negated that side effect; I've had basically no dryness (despite it being winter, and using a drying topical product). I also like that I can use it morning and night without worrying about over-drying my skin. My skin feels softer and looks brighter than it has in over a decade. Highly recommend.

While I love the feel of this cleanser, it may be a bit much to use while using RetinA. I have fairly dry and sensitive skin and only use Tretinoin cream 3x week. I experimented with this cleanser by only using it 3x week as well (and only once on those days). I'm still on the fence about whether I will continue since it does cause additional drying and I developed a rash. I may be allergic to an ingredient. May not be for me, but could be wonderful for someone else.
