It definitely brightens the area, but it's a bit drying. Make sure you moisturize the eye area, otherwise it will accentuate the fine lines.

puffiness and dark circles have been a problem for me since I was a kid- just getting worse as I get older. This is the best product that I have tried and I have tried a lot. It is not perfect but I don't think anything would be. I gave it 4 stars only because the product is a lot smaller than I expected for the price.
