I used this product years ago and recently came back to it. It's honestly the best for removing makeup and plumping my aging combination skin.

Excellent cleansing balm!
I am 71 years old with dry skin due to my previous cleansing product in addition to Retin A ad other strong serums. I was killing my face. The first thing I did to correct my super dry skin started with the cleanser and this is where Elemis enters my new routine. It is ultra-soothing, moisturizing, and has a deep cleaner effect. I leave it on for 10 minutes to fully penetrate my skin and then gently wipe it off with warm water with the cloth included with the jar of balm. I still use my Retin A at night, holding off with the serums for a while and then highly moisturizing. It took a week but my face is 100% better and I firmly believe it has a lot to do with Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. I am very pleased and suggest if you have dry skin and looking for a change in your cleanser then try this balm.

Nice moisturizing cleanser
My skin is very soft and smooth after cleansing with this cleanser. My sister is an aesthetician and recommended massaging it on your face and neck before moistening it with water on your hands which makes it milky and then you can wipe it off with the washcloth that it came with. It smells spa-like, and you really only need a small amount.

I have only used the Rose scented Elemis before purchasing this. I can't say enough about either of these cleansers. This definitely has a "spa" scent with the essential oil. Main scent is lavender. They are both really amazing cleansing balms.

This balm smells heavenly (if you like roses). It applies really well, super soft, does a great job of removing makeup without being harsh. Comes in a plastic container. Looks nice on the counter. Not suitable for travel but wonderful at home.

HEAVILY Scented
I purchased this product because it's touted as safe for pregnancy, but the scent is SO strong that I cannot even use it. I purposely didn't buy the rose scented one and incorrectly assumed this one was unscented. It makes me nauseous and gives me a splitting headache - I hate it so much. As far as I can tell, I think it works okay (just like any other cleansing balm), but the fragrance is awful. I only used it a handful of times - what a waste of money.

ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
I kept seeing makeup artist, skin specialist and even influencers mention the use of Cleansing Balms so I headed to my go to for trusted info and real reviews, LovelySkin. My normally normal to oily skin becomes very dry in the winter even with using the best moisturizers. This issue was compounded when I use products with glycolic or salicylic acid based cleansers. The best
I have tried many cleansing balms and butters, but I always come back to the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. The smell and texture is very nice. It effectively removes makeup without stripping the skin of moisture. If you have dry flaky skin this will take care of that as well with some gentle circular rubbing. It rinses clean, and does not leave a greasy film. It's truly a wonderful product.

Works well, interesting scent
This does a good job as a first step in cleansing, but I don't love the scent. It's not "bad", it's just oddly medicinal smelling. I'm sure some love that! It also took a bit for my skin to adjust to it. I had some redness, but that quickly ended with about a week of use.
