Breaking with out with acne
I was a loyal user of the recently discontinued Elta MD face wash for sensitive skin—I used it for years and it worked wonders for me. Now with it being discontinued, I decided to try this new face wash. I’ve used this face wash for 1.5 months now and I’ve been breaking out across my face—my cheeks, my chin, and forehead. Very unusual and very uncomfortable! My skincare routine has not changed except for this face wash and I haven’t seen this much acne in ages. It’s such a bummer and a waste of $35.

Ok
Good cleanser. Leaves skin clean and exfoliates too. However too drying for me.

Gentle yet effective cleanser
I have super sensitive skin, and like that this product is so good for sensitive skin … yet gets off makeup and sunscreens. I also have fair skin, so after applying a lot of sunscreens during the day, I often battle with removing them nightly and this foaming cleanser really helps. I used to use EltaMD’s original foaming cleanser, and maybe like others do, I wish there was a little more product in the container.

not a good cleanser
I do not recommend this product. Its diluted, does not do a good job cleaning your skin, and leaves skin stripped. I loved EltaMD cleanser that is now discontinued. But this product is not good, not good at all. waste of money

Not a suitable replacement
This new formula is a watery foam. The previous formula was a liquid soap that rubbed into a thick dense foam. Your face felt clean afterwards, but not dry. I never had breakouts. I tried this because I loved the old formula for years. Now I have a giant deep blemish on my chin, and my only consolation is that I only wasted money on the smallest bottle. I also hate how the foam pump keeps coming unscrewed from the top if I take it overnight. It feels like Elta wanted to sell more bottles of cleanser and cheapen the product with water. This product will not last two months like the old cleanser did.

Great product!
My plastic surgeon recommended using this product after my Facelift procedure to cleanse my face and remove Oxygenetix Foundation which he also recommended using immediately after my surgery. It removes makeup well and does not dry out my skin. You only need a small amount to cleanse your face. The product does not have a smell which I love.

Nice Replacement for EltaMD’s previous foaming face wash
I was disappointed when my previous favorite facial cleanser was discontinued. I have very sensitive skin and skeptical of finding a good replacement. I thought I’d start with the same brand, ordered the small travel size, and was VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!! This foaming cleanser is very gentle on my skin, and is also non-drying. Thank you again, Elta MD and LovelySkin!!

Not as good as it’s predecessor
I was a HUGE foaming gel cleanser fan — never used anything better in my adult life — this is fine as far as foaming cleansers go. The pH is the same so it doesn’t irritate my skin, so if you had no issues with the original you shouldn’t any issue with this one. However, it doesn’t “feel” as gentle but more “foamy” — and like you have to use much more of it. In fact, I’m going through it twice as fast. I’ll continue to purchase it because the pH is just too ideal for my skin but it’s not a favourite anymore whatsoever.

Great cleanser
I love using this cleanser. The foamy texture removes makeup easily and doesn’t dry out my skin! I use it in the morning and the evening, and I now have a soft , creamy complexion!!

My morning face wash
Bought this to replace Elta’s discontinued foaming face wash and it’s okay. Good for a first cleanse or morning face wash.

This is the best post procedure cleanser!
I decided to give this new Elta wash a try after my face was struggling to rebound post CO2. I was really worried it wouldn’t be strong enough to keep my acne at bay, while not irritating my freshly lasered skin. It is a game changer. It gently sweeps away dirt, oil, and even eye makeup. I highly recommend it.

nice cleanser
This is a gentle cleaning wash that makes your skin feel clean and soft, without irritation. It removes makeup, though I generally use a microcellular water first to remove makeup.

Not hydrating/barrier repairing as claimed
This was a disappointment. It’s a watery, foaming cleanser with no emollients etc. It left my skin a bit dry. Unsure why Elta launched this cleanser when their newer Oil-in-Gel Cleanser is much more hydrating and barrier-protective.
