Does the job but disappointing
I became a HUGE fan of EltaMD after trying their Moisture-Rich Body Creme. The texture is beyond luxurious and gives your skin such a feeling. I thought the So Silky Hand Creme would be a similar texture but the formulation is notably different and I just don't love it the way I do the Body Creme. It's not a fail, just not for me. This will be one of those items that I will cheer when the tube is finished.

I am a big user of EltaMD products and was hoping the hand creme would be something exceptional. The creme absorbs quickly without any sticky residue but my hands didn't feel very moisturized. Probably will not purchase again.

Initially I find this So Silky Hand Cream to be ok. It absorbs well & does not leave a greasy after feel. There is no scent in my opinion. It takes very little to completely moisture the hands. Do be careful when squeezing the tube. You only need a little, less than half an inch for my hands.

I thought this would be a long lasting moisturizing lotion. I’ve used it before bed, used it in the morning and during the day. This lotion just doesn’t moisturize my hands as well as lotions I buy from drug stores that cost much less. Giving three stars because EltaMD is good and trusted brand. Also, this does contain very good ingredients. I have very dry mature skin, so this might work better for someone with skin that isn’t as dry.

elta hand creme
I think the average person would really like this hand cream. If you are like me, and I have very dry hands but hate the feeling of lotion on your hands, this may not work for you. I felt that it left a slight powdery-feeling coating that I kept wanting to wash off. Like someone else stated, it kind of feels like a primer. The moisturizing properties seem pretty good, though not much better than any other. This would be best for moderately dry hands, not severely dry ones. It has a very, very faint generic scent, similar to what you would find in Jergens or Vaseline i/care.
