After a BCC diagnoses, an excision, tons of stitches and a forever scar on my chest, zinc oxide based sunscreen is a must! I have been through tons of zinc oxide based sunscreen and I must say, I feel 100% protected when wearing this! I LOVE the high amount of zinc! Zinc is a MUST when it comes to sunscreen. And sunscreen should be worn. rain or shine! I use it on myself and my 3 year old son every single day ! Hopefully I'll get my husband on board soon with daily sunscreen use. It is pretty thick so I warm it up in my hands before applying and that makes it super easy to apply to my skin. Can't say enough good things about this and I hope they make it forever!!

Favorite sunscreen
I've been using this sunscreen for many years. Its the best you can buy. Superprotective and not toxic. I'm in the sun a lot playing tennis and never get even the slightest but red.

Dissapointed
This product is so thick and white that it goes on like clown make up and doesn't really absorb in. I even mixed it with some moisturizer and it was still to white. I've used the Elta MD products for a long time but they are making them thicker and stiffer this year. They're hard to apply.

Leaves your skin white
Does not blend well. Rub it in as much as you want, but it is not transparent. Your skin will have a coat of white sunscreen lotion!

Best sunblock for outdoor activities!
I live the n Florida, and love being outdoors. I also love keeping my 51 year old skin healthy and young looking. Thirdly, I am very particular about what I put on my sometimes sensitive skin, and try to avoid harmful chemicals as best as I can. Let me tell you- what a dilemma!!! I have tried many many many sunscreens that fit these requirements, and have found a few that made me relatively happy, albeit they have always left a greasy residue (not fun when you are exercising in unrelenting sun). Yes, they have provided protection, but have also left my skin clogged and congested. I had ordered some stuff off of LovelySkin, and received a sample of this sunscreen. Wow, I was hooked to the point that five minutes after application, I had placed an order for a full size tube! Yes, it does come out a bit thick, but nothing you can’t fix by working it a little into the skin. It leaves a slight very sheer whitish film, but it dries COMPLETELY. It was great even through a mega paddle board sweat session in high 80 degree weather and high humidity. No greasy oily anything, my pores were so happy. Granted, I am looking at this as a true utilitarian tool for sun protection against very unforgiving sun rays here in Florida. It does the job splendidly and “un-greasily”!! Perhaps if you are looking at more of a daily under your makeup kind of sunblock for the face, try EltaMDs sunscreen for that application. It’s also fabulous and I use mine as a foundation. However, cannot recommend the sport block enough as a true sunscreen for outdoor pursuits. It’s the best!!

Don’t really love
I got this sunscreen because i wanted more protection -this is 50 SPF. However,, I find it very drying to the skin, difficult to rub in, and hard to get off in the shower. I will go back to the one I’ve been using for years from the same company.

Used for my face
I received a sample from my previous purchase and liked the way that is lighter on my face. I didn't know it was for body. I immediately ordered one and the same brand name for face. For the one with face, it will not have the white cast like the body one. Anyway, it is light and I do love it.

I use the clear 46 for my face and love it. Didn’t want to use that for my body when out in the sun for my walks etc. purchased this figuring it’d be just as good as the facial one. Yep! It is. Not too thick and blends in/rubs in quickly and keeps me from burning. No irritation.

Great product to use for outdoor activities
I feel this product has provided a robust protection with no stimulation to my sensitive skin. I usually use the Elta MD tinted water resistance spf 41 sunscreen for limited outdoor activities when it is not too bright and shine outside, and I recently switch to this one when I am running outside at noon with sunlight blasting directly from the sky. I found this has provided more protection the other. This has become my ultimate defense against the UV for intense exposure under the sun for long time, and it has been working very well for this purpose. One more benefit to mention, it does not irritate my eyes when I am sweating during running. I would recommend anyone to try it out for the similar purpose.

Great Protection But Difficult to Blend
This mineral sunscreen is a great summer staple for when you don't have time to pre-apply. My dermatologist highly recommends this brand, and this product in particular. My only complaint is that it goes on white and resists blending in - you really have to work at it. I have the small bottle of the clear for my face and it blends in great. Wish it was available in a larger size for whole-body use.

Odor/Pungent
I cannot recommend Elta MD more, however, I was in-between choosing a suncream for my body and regret to have ordered this option. I concluded the larger 8oz size bottle would be handy to have, but the cream has a pungent odor. Our family did a test swatch on the top of our hand and could not believe the odor from the suncream. I could not recommend this one and sadly, I have no use for this suncream. What a waste :(.
