Color not as expected

I was hopeful this would be a great color for pale skin but it had more white cast than expected.

Everyday Physical Sunscreen

This is my everyday sunscreen! I made the switch to a physical sunscreen and this is my favorite that I’ve tried. It can leave a color cast and needs to be fully rubbed in, but that’s common for physical sunscreen. Once it’s fully rubbed in I can put foundation serum on top and it feels weightless.

SPF 40 Rosy Tint Sunscreen

I was excited about getting a sunscreen described as rosy tint since my complexion is rosy. I have dry skin and it made my skin even drier. Also didn't see much rosy tint when applied. I held on to this product for a while trying to make it work. I tried using various heavy duty moisturizers under this product, without success. So as not to waste the product, I ended up using it on my body as a sunscreen.

Not invisible

I used a similar product from Elta MD in the past and really liked it. I was excited to find this one and to give it a try. My preference is a physical sunscreen - that is, one that acts by natural means (Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide) instead of chemicals. This product leaves a chalky, white film on top of the skin which is not attractive. It's not as bad as what the lifeguards wore on their faces in the 1970s, but might as well be. I suppose this could be hidden under foundation, but I don't always wear foundation. Ugh. I am SO disappointed. I even tried thinning it a bit with moisturizer before applying and that didn't help. What a waste!

Rosy tint spf 40

good product goes on smoothly. Has a light feel. I think I still prefer the original sun skin tinted, but this is easy to use and goes on smooth

Meh

I wanted to try this as opposed to the regular tinted sunscreen, which can leave me with a jaundice pallor. This one left a white cast to my face & seemed to really dry out my skin.

Love this sunscreen

I have used EltaMD Physical 41 tinted sunscreen for years, but thought I would give this rosy tint a try. This one is even better. It matches my pale complexion perfectly. I don’t need to wear any foundation over it. Just apply some blush and my skin looks pretty flawless. It is lightweight, neither greasy or drying and it does not pill. It is probably not good for darker skin tones but I love it. The only thing I don't love is the high price. The tube is the same price as the 41 block but you get only about half as much. That is why I took away a star.

Good coverage...Insanely drying

Not a huge EltaMD user, however, I purchased this sunscreen to match my super light complexion. Great coverage (only for pale skin). But my biggest issue was that it was so drying that I felt as though my skin was being stretched by the end of the day.

Protects well but has white cast

Unfortunate trade off with using non chemical sunscreens is the white cast that is almost impossible to get rid of no matter how much you try to rub it in. Also it tends to pill with or without any other face serums or creams. It does protect against harmful rays well though.

Sadly a fail for my sensitive skin

Unfortunately this reformulation of UV Physical irritated my sensitive skin with rosacea and turned me bright red. I had the same issue in the past with another EltaMD sunscreen that included ginger root. The original UV Physical, which was a favorite among sensitive skin types I know, did not include ginger root. The new version does have a very nice texture and, unlike most tinted EltaMD sunscreens, the tint is good for those with very fair skin.

Great sunscreen for fair skin

I have very fair skin and most sunscreens look too dark or orangey on my complexion. This one looks natural, and can easily be layered over Elta Am moisturizer. Glad i found it! Only reason a 4 not a 5 is that sometimes it pills a little.
