I don't think this is one of the highest concentrations of zinc oxide on the market (as described). I see plenty of products with well over 10-15% and this has just 9%. That being said formulation and testing is what matters and EltaMD is known for its sunscreens. What I like about this product is it is one of the few EltaMD products that is physical protection only (many have Zinc Oxide plus Octinoxate which can be irritating to those with sensitive skin). This sunscreen also doesn't have niacinamide (which a number of popular EltaMD sunscreens do and can also be irritating to some) and that is a positive in my book.

I received the other day and was excited to try it. I found the tinted shade was perfect for my skin coloring. Went on evenly and was easy to remove at the end of the day. The only thing I found it definitely went on dryer then the SPF that was not tinted. I still found this to be a good product.

Great tinted sunscreen
This is the first tinted sunscreen I've tried that isn't too dark or orangey. The texture is quite a bit thicker than my usual Elta MD UV Sheer. It does give a little bit of coverage so it's perfect for a light/no makeup look. It also dries matte so you won't look shiny.

Tint and texture are wonderful, not chalky
I was worried that this tinted SPF would be either chalky or orangey, and neither is the case — it goes on very easily and discreetly, and it’s very effective as SPF. I find it slightly drying, so prefer to mix it with moisturizer before applying, and I use an untinted product on my chest and neck to avoid getting the tinted product on clothes. I will still repurchase and re-purchase this product though — best I have found in the category!

Good Alternative for a Better Price
I used to be a ‘EltaMD UV Clear Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 46‘ fanatic telling all my sisters and friends to use it. It is the only thing I would wear daily on my skin. But when my eyes started to burn in the summer, I found out, after doing a lot of research, that it was bc my skin was sensitive to the sunscreen, and it contained octinoxate. So, I switched to this. The formulation is thicker/drier and it leaves a tiny bit of a white cast on my Asian skin, but it doesn’t rub off on my clothes like the other one. I think it’s a passable alternative but definitely doesn’t give as much coverage.

Great daily sunscreen!
This has been my daily go-to for years. I have melasma, so it’s essential that I use a tinted mineral sunscreen to help keep my spots at bay. I use this sunscreen in lieu of foundation and love the way it helps even everything out. I think this sunscreen would be perfect if: 1.) It came in more colors to fit a wider range of skin tones. This color works great for my light complexion, but would not work for darker skin tones…or even fair tones, I imagine. 2.) The spf was higher! It would be great if it was spf 50. Still, if the color works for you, this is a wonderful and effective product!

It's one of my go-to sunscreens of all time, especially it's tinted so it helps with discoloration on my skin. Thick texture but easy to blend, leave without to little white cast, but blends in with skin color after a few minutes. I have oily skin, so I usually use it in the winter. I think it's best for dry skin. You should give it a try! Highly recommend!!

Yellow undertones beware
I like this for everyday use. I have combo skin and it is quite dewy but not greasy. My only gripe is the undertone. I have a fair/light skin tone with yellow undertones and this pulls SO pink on me. I have to mix in another product to counteract the pinkness. If you have a yellow undertone just a thought! Also it’s too dark for me in the winter. I feel like only a small percentage of people can use this.

Still in search of perfect daytime facial sunscreen
As someone who has a terrible reaction to chemical SPF and generally sensitive skin, I'm limited in the products I can use, especially on my face. Using this product, I experience no stinging or other discomfort, even after time spent in the sun. I wish the texture were a bit more watery and moisturizing, it's quite thick. The color seemed a little dark at first but once blended in, is fine even for paler complexions. It doesn't provide much coverage, and it tends to come off on clothing and face masks, which is annoying. Seems to be effective, though, and reasonably priced for daily use.

Good coverage, no orange tint, creamy formula that goes far. This is easy to apply and does not rub off as easily as other mineral sunscreens. My only critique is that I have dry skin and this is drying like every other mineral sunscreen I have tried to date. I will repurchase this though as it is the the best tinted mineral sunscreen I have used and doesn't contain common irritating ingredients that cause my eczema to flare.
