This is a thick, opaque gel serum. It leaves a sticky finish on your face, but does not leave you looking greasy. It does not feel drying, nor does it feel hydrating. It did not feel particularly soothing. The peptides are a plus, but the added silicone may be bad for oily skin. It has a slight alcohol scent, probably a masking agent.
