Alternative to Jones Road blush
I have been seeing a lot of adds on Instagram for the Jones Road pigmented moisturizer, and while it is tempting to try it, there are a couple of reasons to go with the Jane Iredale Glow Time Blush Stick instead. I first purchased Balmy and used it as a blush, occasionally on my eyelids, and also tried it on my lips. It's great as a blush, easy to apply and lightly blend into the cheekbone area for a natural blush look. Also good on the eyelids, strange as that may sound. It's fine on the lips but doesn't last. I also use Mist for a lighter shade of blush at times. I like that I don't have to stick my fingers in a pot of rather gooey cream (how can that be sanitary?). I always apply a tinted SPF first and the glow stick finishes the look nicely. I'm 74 years old with fair to medium fair skin that used to be oily when I was younger. The prospect of having a gooey, shiny blush on my face has no appeal. I envision hugging someone on the cheek and leaving some of it on their face! Glow Stick also lasts a long time so it's a good value for the money.

Jane Iredale Glow Time Blush Stick
I found the glow blush stick in the color balmy to be dry and not as easily blendable upon application as other prestige blush sticks I own. I didn't think the color flattered my light to medium skin tone. I found it necessary to add a powder blush on top to make the color last. I would not purchase this product again.

I have bought several of the blushs, there are beautiful with such natural glow. The balmy is a beautiful color on my light skin and dark eyes and very dark hair. Glow Time Blush Stick
I have received so many compliments when I wear Jane iredale’s Glow Time Blush Stick. My favorite shades, so far, are Balmy and Fervor. They are so easy to blend and they blend well over powder too. They give you a lit from within glow and the colors are so natural and complimentary. I never feel like it looks harsh. This is a big deal for me as I am over 50. Best balm blush
As someone who prefers a non powder blush I can honestly say these blush sticks are the best! I have Balmy and Fervor and both look great with my fair/light complexion. Balmy is a beautiful natural shade of nude pink. Fervor is a little bit more pink but also lovely. The formula blends well, lasts long and “plays” nice under and/or over liquid foundation or powder foundation.
