Bigger mirror and made of aluminum not plastic
This refillable powder compact is made well with aluminum. It does not feel cheap like plastic compacts. I bought one in white and one in gold. I hope Jane iredale comes out with different limited edition colors like their older heavy metal compacts. The bigger square mirror in this compact makes applying powder on the go easier.

I just wish you could get the case with the foundation for a first puchase. But, you know how it is. They need every bit of money out of us. The magnetic case works great with the foundation and it is really easy to change them out. It is sealed well.

Better than the older style compact
I don't like that you have to pay extra money to buy a compact for Jane Iredale's foundation and bronzer. I had the old compact (Gold) for the bronzer, and when it was time to reorder the bronzer the compact would not stay closed so I had to buy a new one. I do like that this one closes with a magnet, and it seems a lot more sturdy that the first one I bought. I hope it will last a lot longer than the other.
