Disappointed
The packaging describes this sunscreen as "matte finish" and "non-whitening" which is why I bought it. I don't think it's either one of these things. It's greasy and very hard to rub the white away. I've used other La Roche-Posay sunscreens and this isn't any different. All of them leave a ghostly white residue on my skin. I think it's also too liquidy. It drips and runs before I can rub it on.

Very light weight but expensive
The product lives up to its claim that it is light-weight. It comes out like a viscous liquid not like most other sunscreens that are instead thick. II can spread a small amount all over my face. If I spread only a thin layer over my face it does not whiten much HOWEVER, if I put a teaspoon on my face, it is very white. I was very unsure what was the right amount to put on. The bottle does not give any recommendations but most dermatologist recommend people use a teaspoon of sunscreen for the face. Unless this product provides sunscreen protection with a much smaller quantity than other products, then there is no advantage to it in terms of the amount it whitens and it is very expensive.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 is an effective mineral sunscreen that leaves a subtle satin finish to the skin. Be careful not to use too much as this will definitely leave a white film on the skin, like all mineral sunscreens do. Bottle is small, but this is a benefit as it is easy to carry or pack and the contents are long lasting.

I love this sunscreen. I use Obagi products, but the Obagi sunscreen is a little thick. This sunscreen is very thin and goes on smoothly. You can apply make up directly over it. It feels like you do not have any sunscreen on your face at all, but gives great protection.

Really love it!!
So far, I really love this sunscreen. I have always been a huge fan of La Roche- Posay after discovering them last year and must say this new mineral sunscreen is superb! First, I have very oily skin and am prone to get very large painful cystic acne pimples so I am always afraid of something clogging my pores. I don’t wear makeup, or moisturizer and I can’t tell you how wonderful this stuff feels on my skin. It does not leave a lot of white on my skin, and it does not make my skin oilier then it already is. I really love the texture and the feel of this sunscreen. I can’t tell you if it makes me break out since I have just started to use it, but I have come to trust this brand for minimal break-outs (I have come to accept that I will always have cystic acne no matter what I do). Anyway, a GREAT product and I am so glad that it is mineral. The only reason I don’t give it full stars is because this product needs to be cruelty free.
