If you have acne, this stuff is great. It doesn’t over dry your face. I’ve been using this for years, and keep coming back if I try something else. I suggest using the acne set if you need help getting the acne under control.

Great cleanser
This cleanser reminds me SkinCeuticals LHA Cleansing gel (but it is so much cheaper). I use Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser after cleansing oil when I remove my makeup and it is great. My skin is absolutely clean after it, this gel does not dry or irritate my combination skin. It is also comfortable for me to use it twice a day. This cleanser gives a rich foam with a tiny amount of product. Great cleanser for a good price.

Excellent Everyday Cleanser
Now that I’m in my 40s my skin has changed. I needed a go-to cleaner that would prevent mild blemishes but not dry my skin. Although I was skeptical about trying Effaclar, I’m so glad I did! It’s a light, clear liquid gel that has only a very faint fresh scent. No heavy perfumes. Best of all, it’s affordable. I had been using Theraderm which is double the price for a much smaller amount. This product is my news favorite everyday cleanser!
