Very gentle exfoliant. I have rosacea, so very sensitive skin. I've been able to tolerate ectoderm 2-3x a week without irritation. It's expensive, but just use a little and it lasts a long time.

Happy with the results
I use this daily, as part of my regular Obagi regime. I can tell immediately, adding this step, my skin cell turnover is better. Originally I had skipped this step, but now, within a week, I can tell a brighter younger looking skin, looking back at me in the mirror. I’m 67, and ride my bike for 5+ hours a day in the elements. Gentle yet powerful exfoliation
Obagi never misses the mark. They have been my trusted brand for 10 years. I use steps 3,4 and 5 plus retinol at night and then I use the Obagi C line during the day. In the summer I use retinol less frequently, but I always #3 lightening cream and #4 exfoliation all year long. It never leaves my skin flaky or irritated , only smooth and refreshed. I highly recommend #4 all year long.

Still worth it in 2023
I have used Exfoderm Forte in the past but it was many years ago. I had forgotten how wonderful Obagi products are. My skin had become so dull lately so I decided to start using the Obagi line again. It was also a plus when LovelySkin had this on sale. I have been using this and the other Obagi products for a month now and my complexion now appears brighter and more plump. Too drying for my skin
I have oily skin and used this off and on for many months. However, my skin just can't tolerate it. It makes me too flaky. I use other exfoliating products and retinoids, so maybe this is why. I think there are similar and gentler exfoliators available for less money.

Ovagi Nu-Derm System works!
I began using Obagi products recommended by my dermatologist after laser facial treatments in the mid-90's. The entire Obagi Nu-Derm system works so well that I have not felt the need to revisit any more skin resurfacing procedures. I cleanse with the Obagi foaming cleanser, use another brand vitamin c serum, then apply Obagi #3 and Exfoderm Forte #4 in the morning, followed by sunscreen. Most people who meet me for the first time comment if age-related issue comes up say I look much younger than my age. The Exfoderm Forte #4 is an excellent product.

My trouble solver
Acids are key for skin turnover. This is a product with a mix of AHA, lactic and glycolic acids for the day, which will continue the treatment at night, with the Nuderm Clear and Nuderm Blender. I love the three products, mixed, two for the day and two at night. All you have to do is to be disciplined and will get a radiant, healthy, free of sun spots, even, wrinkles and firmness skin. Very happy with my skin appearance since.
