Foaming and a bit drying
My 3 stars is not due to being critical. It’s based on my skin. This products lives up to its name. It foams and cleanses. I usually use the gentle cleanser, and if I have one criticism, it doesn’t foam enough. I figured why not try this cleanser. . The gentle does not leave my skin tight as this product does. I’m thinking with a younger or oily skin this would be great. I’ll finish my bottles, but this 70 year old will be back to the gentle. With all that being said, Obagi is a great product!

Great cleanser for oilier skin types
I used the Obagi gel cleanser for years and loved it. It removes all your makeup, even mascara. As my skin has dried out with age, I now use the Obagi gentle cleanser. Now, my husband has started using the gel cleanser and loves it too.

It's hard to find a cleanser that is able to remove all the makeup, even the most stubborn waterproof eye makeup, as thoroughly as Obagi #1 yet is gentle on your skin and doesn't leave it dry and pilling. I've been using this for 2 years now, and I don't plan to stop.
