This sun Shield is not like matt formula ,this formula is too heavy and thick and takes a long time to absorb into your skin. I prefer the Matte finish which they have disconnected. I will be looking for another brand unfortunately, I do like the obagi products.

Great coverage
I usually use the Sun Shield Matte but it was out of stock. I was pleasantly surprised by the Sun Shield Mineral lotion. Although it is a bit more difficult to rub in, it seems to protect better in the intense coastal sun. I will probably keep purchasing this product, or perhaps both.

I have been using Obagi mineral sunshield for at least 5 years and I am a huge fan! I have sensitive, breakout prone skin and Obagi products never disappoint. My dermatologist says to properly block suns rays we must use a MINERAL sunscreen, NOT a chemical one, and Obagi has that covered. It’s a bit thicker than others, but it absorbs well and I know it’s effective.. I wait a few minutes after application to apply my makeup and that goes on smoothly. I have tried samples of other popular sunscreen brands, but they have all made me break out. I’m sticking with Obagi!

Serious sun protection when in tropical vacation
I use this sunscreen when I know I will be out in the sun. It’s served me well when in Hawaii and during summers here as I live in a hot climate. I don’t notice any extra spots forming. It’s white but just add a bit of tinted sunscreen on top or foundation. My skin looks perfect after. Trusted and highly recommend.

I received this as a free product and used it in the Caribbean last week. Leaves a white cast, which doesn't really bother me so long as I am protected. A bit greasy, which is also something I expect from a body SPF lotion. Probably not something I would choose to purchase at this price point-- it is comparable to most other lotion SPFs.

Obagi was referred to me by a dermatologist about 10 years ago, and I have been using the Sun Shield every day since then. A little bit goes a long way, and I feel confident that my face is being protected from the sun. Unless swimming, one application per day works for me. Never had any reactions and does not clog my skin.

Wanted to like- very thick, hard to spread, pills, moderate white cast
Wanted to like this one- but it's very thick, hard to spread, pills and flakes when trying to rub in, and has a moderate white cast. It is, however fragrance free and I've seen worse all-mineral white casts. Will try to use up on hands and arms, but cannot use this otherwise. I received this as a free full-size gift.

A little drying
I love the Obagi physical SPF 32, but wanted more protection for outdoor activities. The product blends in with my fair-light skin just fine, but I do find it feels dry on my skin. I try to apply it as quickly as possible after my moisturizer. Probably will not repurchase, or maybe I’ll find it’s better for summer. I do have dry skin/live in a dry climate.

Great for sweaty athletes
I sweat like a working farm animal when I workout, and it can be as short as a 3 mile jog. I have tried no less than 5 different physical sunscreens and this is the clear winner! No burning like chemical sunscreens cause. No dripping off with my heavy sweat, or dripping into my eyes/mouth. This is a PHYSICAL sunscreen so know that it will be thick, and may leave a haze, but in my opinion, this is not the best sunscreen for under makeup, this is the one you want to use for extended sun exposure.

Horrible white cast
The product did protect my face from being burned, but the white cast never absorbed into my skin. I looked like a ghost the entire day! There are better mineral formulations out there that don't cause this white cast.
