Repeat buyer, age 64, normal skin type. I recently saw a dermatologist (first time in about 15 years) and asked about getting a prescription Retin-A. She said my skin “looks great” and she recommended that I just keep using this Obagi 1.0 product. I was surprised. Basically, I asked and she said no, lol. Anyway, I use this every night, and my skin has always tolerated it well, to the point that I wonder what’s wrong with me that I don’t ever noticeably peel, as apparently others do. My grandfather and mother had/have beautiful skin, so hopefully it’s down to good genes. I intend to keep using this per doctor’s recommendation.

Works well for non prescription
I purchased this after moving and being forced to change physicians. My new doctor wouldn't order the prescription retinol I've used for years, as it was "cosmetic". I ordered this, and have been very pleased. It doesn't work as well as the prescription product, but it does help manage my acne breakouts, and I don't seem to be developing deep lines. My skin isn't quite as bright as with the prescription product, and I do experience some minor breakouts, however, I am thankful this is available, and will continue to use it.

Within a couple weeks I noticed fuller more youthful skin tone. and brighter skin. I plan to continue using to reduce spots. I started with every other day for a week then increased to nightly to manage dry skin. I have normal to oily skin and I've been very happy with this purchase.

The Best
Retinol really is the "Gold Standard" of all facial skincare products. I have been using it for many years along with my serums and other products. I buy the full 1.0 and mix in a little moisturizer if I peel a bit. Normally this strength is good for me as I have used it for a long time. I have bought more expensive Retinol brands as well as one prescribed by my dermatologist. The Obagi is priced good and is comparable to the more expensive brands. I really notice a difference in my skin if I stop using for awhile. I apply 3-5 times per week. Highly recommend!

Effective and manageable
Obagi’s i360 Retinol 1.0 is a great formula because it is time released. I’ve used retinols in the past and had immediate skin irritation. Yes, the whole point is to initiate a chemical exfoliation when using a retinol, but it’s nice that it can be done without skin irritation and redness right out of the gate. This formulation with shea butter and hyaluronic keeps my skin moisturized while providing the chemical exfoliation and skin renewal that I need for my mature skin. This is the best retinol cream I’ve ever used.
