Best available mattifying gel I've found
I've tried many products in my attempt to contain the shine on my skin, and so far, this has been the most reliable. I have to reapply it several times a day, but it doesn't over dry my skin, doesn't cake, and ultimately does the trick.

Nice product, but has an odd odor
This product delivers in the mattifying department! Works all day for me! I love that the directions indicate OC8 application AFTER moisturizer and sunscreen; no oily breakthrough all day!!! You only need a small amount since OC8 has an amazing "slip" when applying! I would advise waiting about 5mins after applying other skin products, before using the OC8 Since this product works so well for me, I can overlook the one thing I noticed about OC8, which is the odor of this product. I am guessing the product contains some sort of clay that accomplishes the mattifying function of the product, producing what I would describe as a "damp earth"odor.

Good for oily skin
As a person with oily/acne prone skin I am always on the look out for something to mattify my skin without making my skin look dry. I always apply a tiny amount of this product after my routine in the morning, which is after all moisturisers/sunscreens but before makeup (leaving a few minutes for it to sink in before MU application). It dries matte on my skin without making me look dry or without any tight feeling. With or without applying my mineral foundation I find I am less oily throughout the whole day, however, I find it doesn't last the full eight hours on me but it is pretty close and nothing a quick tpuch up doesn't fix. If you want you can also apply this product ontop of makeup. I find this product a great primer and I am about to purchase my second tube, wouldn't be without it. I like the packaging, a simple white (toothpaste) tube. Product is easy to get out even at the end.

My dermatologist recommended this after I complained about being SUPER oily (I'm a little confused about one thing she said–that it was supposed to have little beads that helped absorb the oil. That's not in this). This primer has worked at keeping the oil at bay the longest of any other I've tried (not the 8 hours they say). My skin is super oily, so I'm okay with it, but I think anybody that has normal or combination skin probably shouldn't use this. Definitely if you have dry skin DON'T USE THIS because I find it is drying, but that's fine because that's what I need! What I found to make my makeup last the longest was using this and then another brand mattifying primer (lauren Geller spackle) on top. I probably will continue to use this because as I said it keeps the oil away longer than anything else, just wish I got the 8 hours the product claims.

Matte for very oily skin
This primer was recommended by my dermatologist for my oily skin skin because of the mattifying ingredients. This primer is nice because there is no silicones, oil or alcohol to cause more acne. This primer lasts me 4 hours and then the oil starts to show on the skin.

This product seems to work. However, I believe it says it's supposed to last 8 hours...I don't think that's accurate. Maybe 4-6 hours. I have very oily skin, and it seems to control it and lessen the amount of oil on my face. It just doesn't completely keep me matte all day. I would reccommend it, though!

I have oily skin that tends to breakout easily, especially in the summer months. This is my favorite mattifying gel. It really feels like a cream not a gel. Controls my oily skin for at least 10 hours. I have tried their one for acne. I like that one too but only use that one on active breakouts because it tends to dry out my face if I use it all over my face. :) I hope this helped.

I recieved a sample of OC8 Professional Mattifying Gel as a sample from a promotion on Facebook. I was satisfied with the results, but not overly in love with the product. It did do what it says it does, but I guess my expectations were higher based off the idea that it would truly give my skin a blurred look. Also, I am a 29 year old with slight acne scarring that I was hoping this would help to cover. Sadly, it did not. I'm not fully disappointed, though, because there aren't too many products (if any) out there that can truly perfect your skin. Other than that unworldly expectation, I would overall satisfied with how long it lasted and the general look and feel of my skin.

I really like this product. My dermatologist had recommended this product to me, so of course I came right to this site, and of they had it : )! And I was able to get it on sale. I am very, very oily and this has really worked in sucking up the oil on my face. It says it last for eight hours, however not in my case. I may get at least 4 hours before the shine starts breaking through. But considering how oily my skin is, I am grateful for the four hours. I was concerned about break outs, especially with the topical medication I used from my dermatologist, however so far so good. No break outs at all, it actually seems to work well with my other product. It does have a medicine type smell, but it is fine with me. Nothing to putrid or overbearing. So right now I am liking this product and will continue to use. I really recommend this if you have oily skin. Oh, the other thing you dont have to use a lot, a little goes a long way, and you can reapply as needed.
