good for irritation, not so much redness

This is a curious product, since the one thing it isn't so good at is reducing redness. It's wonderful for all other symptoms associated with irritated or damaged skin, especially flaking and itching, so when my skin is most irritated, I enjoy using it before putting on a green tea based redness relieving moisturizer. The relief it provides for inflammation allows makeup to glide on easier and keeps me from scratching. If your problems are redness exclusively, however, this wouldn't be the best choice.
