Great conditioner for coarse, dry hair. Leaves my hair soft and shiny. It has a nice minty smell. I use it with the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo. Both shampoo and conditioner work great! Would definitely recommend!

Not the same Pureology
I used to love Pureology and haven’t used it in a few years. I have been using other hair brands. I was excited for the scent of Pureology again, but my skin started reacting. Breakouts on my neck shoulders and chest. I’ve heard that Pureology reformulated, so my guess is that’s the reason for my skin reaction. So upset! For the price tag and reputation, I did not expect Pureology reformulation to ruin my skin!

VERY strong-irritating menthol & peppermint oil fragrance!
For those of you with sensitive scalps and/or react to fragrant essential oils, avoid this conditioner!! It contains a high amount of peppermint leaf oil plus menthol, and the smell is SO strong. It literally stings my bare back in the shower and has caused almost non-stop scalp itchiness in the 2 weeks I've been using it. Will return to Pureology's Strength Care conditioner.

Used this product on and off for years
This is a staple in my haircare wardrobe. I'm one of those people that hair products tend to build up on my hair so I do rotate the things I use, but Pureology Hydrate has been a staple. Whenever my hair is feeling dry or just needs an extra dose of pampering, I'll use this and my hair just perks up. My hair is fine and slightly wavy but I have a lot of hair that tends to get weighed down if I don't use the right products. This never weighs down my hair. It's so convenient that Pureology also offers travel sizes in almost all their products as well so that I can actually put this in my carry-on luggage without an issue. Highly recommend.

Best conditioner ever!
Best conditioner ever! I have long thin hair, and this is amazing to detangle, smells wonderful, love the menthol-minty smell/sensation! I am not ripping my hair out trying to comb through with this on my hair after shampooing, it's amazing, very "slippery" to aid detangling, and wonderful results. Cannot go without it. I always use twice as much conditioner as shampoo due to to long hair, so I buy huge bottles of this. Highly recommend. Does not weigh my hair down, even with thin hair. I did try to "sheer" version of this once but returned to this, even with my thin hair this is the best, does not weigh it down, wonderful detangling. You may have thin hair and think this hydrate formula will be too much and weigh hair down, but it does not. I use either the sheer version of this shampoo or the regular hydrate version/matching shampoo with this.

Strong minty smell
I had hoped to get amazing results after reading the reviews but it didn't happen for me. I have color treated hair that's hiding a lot of grays. As I've grown into my 50s, the texture of my hair has become much more coarse and frizzy. This did nothing to smooth or calm the frizzy hair. It also has an incredibly strong minty smell. I could actually feel the skin on my face burning where this touched. I will admit that my skin is sensitive. This reminded me of the older tea tree hair products of my youth. Not for me.
