You only need a very small amount for this shampoo to be effective. I don't see a big difference between this and the regular Hydrate shampoo.

Great for fine hair
I have been using Purology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner for years. This is the first time I have used the Hydrate Sheer shampoo. I am very pleased with the results. This product does not weigh my hair down, but still moisturizes. I have fine but wavy hair and with this product I don't have that heavy feeling that other moisturizing shampoos can cause. Expensive, but a little goes a long way and the results are worth it.

This shampoo is wonderful for us gals that have fine hair. I have struggled with moisturizing shampoos that just end up weighing my hair down. Not this product! It smells great, lathers up wonderfully and doesn’t over moisturize my hair. A little goes a long way so you don’t need to use much. I will buy this again!

This moisturized without weighing my hair down. Gave my long straight highlighted hair a nice shine. I did get the regular hydrate conditioner and not sheer, since my highlighted hair gets dry ends. The shampoo has a tingle to my scalp, but I like it and it is not overpowering.

Favorite Shampoo
After so many years of trying a lot of shampoo and conditioner samples I find that Pureology is best for my fine colored long hair. It leaves it soft and not too much frizz. The only thing I don't love is the smell when using it but my hair doesn't smell like it once it's washed out.

This is my #1 shampoo for fine, dry color treated hair. I've tried all the Pureology products and I never realized how much a shampoo specific for fine hair could make a difference. I have fine hair, but a ton of it and this shampoo worked perfectly on alternating wash days when I don't use a color depositing one. It hydrates just enough without weighing hair down or build up. I am sensitive to many fragrances, but not what is used in this shampoo, and I think it smells amazing.
