I have only used Discoloration Defense for a few weeks and it has made a world of difference in my complexion. What once looked like a third eye in the middle of my forehead is now gone.

Prevention of blemishes
This product does give my skin a nice glow when applied. It does prevent discoloration when it comes to blemish formation when you have a pimple but you have to have already been using the product prior to having a pimple and to have use it for an extended amount of time. 1.5-2 months or so. Trust me when I say this, I had no blemish when I had pimples. It helps calms and soothes the skin of redness from exfoliation. The reason I give it 4 star is that niacinamide opens up my pores even though it is said it tightens pores. It works in the opposite way for my skin.

Waiting for a change
I have been using the Discoloration Defense for about a month. I'm not sure I've seen any change to my skin but I'll give it a full bottle until I decide. On the plus side, the texture and "fragrance" of the product both are nice.

Saw results after the sample vial
I have melasma that started at least 15years ago. I use my CE every day for preventative and when I received a sample vial of this I decided to add it in the mix. Towards the end of the sample vial I kept thinking, no that can't be right, have they faded this quickly? Don't get me wrong, it's not like it's all gone but there are several (three) extra dark spots that are large (about 1/8") and stubborn and I keep my eye on them because every day I have the routine where I have to cover them up by dotting on extra foundation. But towards the end of the vial I noticed I don't dot on as much foundation, and in certain lighting I don't see them at all or if I do, they are much less pronounced. Now, my "background" melasma is still there (those are the large brown patches made up of dozens of tiny spots that are lighter than the others but always present as huge globs). I'm not yet sure if those will lighten but I know for the fact that the darker spots have faded by about half for me. Everyone is different. I've tried things that seem to work for others and do nothing for me - hopefully this will be the right one for your skin. It definitely did some lightening on mine, and without irritation. I have extremely sensitive skin. I purchased a whole bottle based on this and plan to keep it in my morning and evening rotation.

For the stubborn spots
