Nothing special
I was thinking this would be a full size thick barrier cream to use for irritation or post chemical peel. But it’s a tiny tube and the product is almost identical to basic petrolatum products. So I wouldn’t have purchased this if I knew that. It might come in handy for wound care someday I guess.

It’s no secret that I’m a very loyal fan & user of Skinceuticals, but this product is basically petroleum jelly: you put it on ur face, even in small quantity, & ur skin won’t absorb it, same for us hands, and you end up having stains on ur sheets & pillow!! I might use it during beach season though…!

Balm is greasy, and I wouldn't wear during the day. But provides excellent moisture and protection for very dry skin overnight. Between retinols and cold winter days, I can get flaky patches. This clears them up.

Must have for flaky skin
I use this balm for many things. When my under eyes are dry even after eye cream, I put a small amount on top to seal the moisture and it definitely helps. Even have used it on skin that’s barrier that has been comprised. Doesn’t break me out either. Handy in my skincare arsenal.
