Glad I Tried It But Once Is Enough
I purchased the serum after receiving a free sample. I've been using it every evening, after washing my face and before applying moisturizer. This is an interesting product formulation. I've not used a gel serum in the past. All it takes is two drops on my fingertips and I have enough for my face and neck. Initially it seems I used too much, but then it is quickly absorbed. I have not noticed any difference with my skin being more hydrated/glowing. I'm glad I tried it but I will not repurchase.

Dried out my skin
Other Skinceuticals products I use are superior, but my very dry skin cannot tolerate this serum. Sometimes “hydrating” serums have the opposite effect depending on skin type, I guess. Beautifully textured serum, however.

Hydrating but not Amazing
I do notice that my skin is more hydrated when I use this product, but it’s not as effective as I’d hope it to be. Even after applying on damp skin and following up with an occlusive moisturizer, my skin still feels tight and dry.

Good moisturizer for oily skin
It’s a good moisturizer for oily skin but it does absorb quickly. As other reviews mention it does need to be used with additional products to retain moisture, otherwise you may not see a benefit which can make it less than a must have product in my book.

Not really hydrating
This gel sinks right into your skin and I felt like I needed an HA serum along with it for hydration. Would purchase and HA item next time.

Just OK
It goes on well and gives skin a nice, hydrated texture. Although this serum hydrates well, there are other serums out there that are cheaper and work better. I would not recommend this product, especially for the quality vs. price.

Undecided as of this time
I have only started using the B5 gel as of a week ago. I like the consistency and spreadability for coverage. It blends in very quickly and is not sticky. I cannot comment yet on any changes but I will update as soon as I've finished the bottle.

Nice serum, but not overly hydrating.
While this serum goes on really nicely and absorbs quickly, I don't find it hydrating. It may be something I will try in the hot summertime, but I have to layer other products over it to achieve anything close to moisture in the winter, which sort of defeats the purpose of a "hydrating" gel. I'm sure the other ingredients are beneficial, but it doesn't provide the moisture I was looking for.

Causes breakouts
I have sensitive, redness prone, normal-to-dry skin with acne rosacea. B5 Hyaluronic Serum is the great for extra hydration but it causes breakouts whenever I use it.

Not a necessity
I use a good moisturiser with great ingredients. Therefore, I don't think I need to use this product in my skincare regimen since it hasn't done much for my skin.

Not good for me
I felt that it made my skin drier. I did some research and found that several dermatologists said that HA can cause more dryness. Wish I could send it back but I think it’s too late.

I enjoyed it but will prob go for a dupe
I liked the texture and the formula, no pilling with other products. I didn't notice a huge difference either way. I'll probably go with a less expensive dupe or other type of hydrating serum but I did enjoy using the product. Layering CE Ferulic, a hydrating serum, my own oil blend, then eye cream and moisture lotion or shea (nilotica only), sunscreen in day time is my core routine. -Former makeup artist/licensed Esthetician.
