This serum is the holy grail of serums—I’ve seen people on Reddit lauding this serum while trying to find something “exactly like it but less expensive.” My answer: save. I can definitively say I’m now monitoring my usage so I can turn on auto-replenish because nothing makes my face feel clean and hydrated after a wash like this gel. So much hydration you don’t even need to limit usage to your face, this serum hydrates anywhere you need it to. It’s like water to me—I need it around to live now. There is no world without this product, thank you LovelySkin for making that trial bottle something that came as a “free gift.” Gush.

SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Hyaluronic Acid Gel Serum
Although I had high expectations for this serum, it did not perform for me, the way I had hoped. It is a bit tacky going on but dries quickly. However, my skin feels dry a few hours after applying, even after I layer it with a very hydrating moisturizer. I will continue to search for something that works better for my skin type, which is always seeking moisture.

Beautiful serum
I first used it in my 30s in conjunction with the CE Ferulic. Brilliant commendations by a dermatologist . These suggestions, especially the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic, I’m SURE are why my skin (plus sunscreen!) is now as good as it is. Now that i’m in my later 50s I don’t think this hyaluronic works as well for me… I recently tried again. Other hyaluronic acids by Skinceuticals that I’ve also tried, I’ve decided are better suited for my mature, more dehydrated skin. That said, I’d definitely say this is still one of the gold stars!

I tried this as an alternative to my usual ‘Hyaluronic Acid’. I like the slip it has and the way it spreads evenly. Dries quickly and is neither sticky or tightening. My usual moisturizing routine works well on top of it and feels as though it is allowed to absorb. I may continue to alternate this with my other brand of ‘Hyaluronic Acid’. Thumbs up!
