In the SkinCeuticals line, I have tried each of their Vitamin C serums first starting with their CE Ferulic, then tried their Silymarin, and now am using their Phloretin. Each Vitamin C serum gave wonderful results; however, after trying all of them, I must say that I like the Phloretin version the best for my skin. My skin is sensitive, oily/acne prone (no active acne though, thank goodness), and I do have discoloration. Since my skin is on the oily side, I found the CF Ferulic to be too hydrating. The Silymarin worked great on sucking up a lot of the oil on my face, but since I didn't have any active acne, I found the additional salicylic acid made my face more red. The Phloretin is the perfect mix. I like that it has helped with any recent marks on my face, but I don't see any major difference in my other discoloration/dark spots. But, for a great vitamin c serum, this is the one for me.

Long lasting improvement
I have seen improvements to my skin since using about to open 3rd bottle and order 4th. I’ve had brown spots due to age and sun diminish. But most noticeable is my skin texture. I’ve got areas where I used to have to use highlighter that now have natural highlights. I feel confident going to the store or getting coffee with no makeup, I wouldn’t do that 4 months ago. I’ve had compliments on my skin. Someone inquired if I had work done! For oily skin this is the greatest serum, and they are hard to find.

Vitamin C Serum for Sensitive Skin
I have struggled with minor hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and forehead starting around the age of 40. I have tried vitamin C serums from the highest rating serums on Amazon to Neutrogena. The previous serums gave me an immediate stinging sensation when applied and always gave off a coffee smell that was overpowering when it was sitting on my skin. I was hesitant to try SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Antioxidant Vitamin C Discoloration Serum due to my previous side effects from other serums and because of the price. I chose this particular serum due to the positive reviews for oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin. First, I would like to say that I have had none of the previous side effects at all with this product and my hyperpigmentation issues have gone away. I religiously use the serum daily in the morning along with my Skin Ceuticals hydrating B5 gel, moisturizer and ISDIN sunscreen. Although the bottle is small, it lasts a very long time. Money well spent and yes it works.
