I do like the matte finish. The coverage is very light though, mostly invisible. For me I needed a bit more coverage. I felt like I needed to reapply it more often than others.

Sad this didn't work for me.
I like skinceuticals products, but am not a fan of the way this goes onto my skin. It goes on OK initially, but as it gets spread around, it rolls up into little balls all over my face. The more I try to wipe them off, the more are created. I am also not a fan of the silicon feel on my skin.

Bad Color & Pills
This is one of the worst mineral sunscreens I've ever tried -- and I've tried many. It is way too dark for fair skin. They need to make a variety of colors. Worst of all, it pills up or balls up after upon application. I have tried this over moisturizer and under, and it always pills up. I also broke out in some acne-like bumps from it.

Love Hate Relationship
I love how the mattifying aspect of this sunscreen keeps me from getting oily all day and that the color blends into my natural skin tone pretty well. My only issue is that it tends to pill up, especially when I've used serums underneath. Sometimes I need to redo my makeup because the pilling is so bad. One trick I've learned is to wait a bit after serums spray my face with some facial spray and then the sunscreen goes on a little less clumpy.

Yes, it's thick. Yes, it feels a bit grainy at first. But be patient with it, it blends to my skin tone quite nicely, giving it a bit of color (I'm fair skinned). The pore blurring effect is amazing and talk about mattifying! And it keeps me way less shiney all day (I am very oily and nothing willclear that completely). Without it I'm practically dripping in oil by end of day. It does not cover major discoloration or imperfections, but any areas with that I just add a touch of concealer on days when needed.

I really wanted this to work for me. Very lightweight and soft, non greasy. However, I live in a very hot, humid environment. I wanted it to cover my face when I walk at the park for an hour. It seems to work for 30 minutes but then it melts off and I feel the sun burning me. I do wear a hat but the heat is intense here. Stopping to reapply is not an option in the middle of a workout. Wish it penetrated better to stay on.

I love this formula. I also use the physical fusion 50 SPF but that tends to be greasy looking. My only complaint is the tube is so darn small for the $$$$. Hope I can use it this winter when it’s drier.

Sunscreen a Must!
I have used this sunscreen for a long long time, my little secret to using it to have the best appearance is, I start with a little Journee as a base, and then put this on right after! Adding a couple drops of water on your fingers also helps distribute it very nicely. Such a great looking finish!! Add a little finishing/setting powder, and you are good to go for the day! I get such compliments on my skin, and I usually tell people about SkinCeuticals, and that I use it every day, rain or shine. And I also put whatever is left on my hands, on the back of my hands, for additional sunscreen protection. It's a must. I never want to be with out it.
