miracle sunscreen

Great Brand but I Prefer the Liquid Version
I was disappointed somewhat with this sunscreen as I thought it would have more coverage based on the reviews. I don’t really have a lot to cover. It also had a white cast to it and did not go with my darker tanned skin tone and I thought it would adjust to at least a slightly darker tone. I will say it was easier to apply than the liquid and has a nice creamy consistency and it did stay on and remain matte on a hot humid day. . I will keep it for the backyard, swimming but just wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it out as I had hoped. The physical fusion is harder to apply and I can’t use my fingers with it which I few wastes product absorbed by sponge but it does stay matte as well and adjusts to the right color without any white cast. They both had the same coverage imo.

I was looking for a sunscreen that doesn't feel pasty, heavy on my skin. I am layering sunscreen with a serum and a moisturizer so usually when I get to sunscreen I feel like I am wearing an armor on my face. Even very expensive products felt nasty. Yesterday I finally received SkinCeuticals Physical Matte Tinted sunscreen - I was instantly impressed! It felt light, almost powdery - none of that heavy greasy feel of other brands I tried. This one is a keeper! Maybe I finally won't mind wearing a sunscreen!

It is a physical SPF, so it's a bit thicker than chemical versions. I wish it didn't have so much silicone. I had to find the right (silicone free) moisturizer to prevent pilling.

I have a combination and sensitive skin. It took me years to find a sunscreen that doesn’t make my skin getting red/itchy/dried/block the pores and yet have enough protection from the sunlight. I have used 3 tubes so far. If you worried that it’s too dried during fall and winter, try to apply richer moisturiser before this product. It works perfectly on me!

Heavy feeling, poor value
I bought this because my dermatologist recommended it for my skin type and for the coverage. However, I found it very heavy on my skin. When I added mineral makeup, it felt like my skin was suffocating. To use up the product, I use it on my neck and chest. The tinted aspect is nice, just not right for my skin.

Like spreading damp powder
Purchased this based on the positive reviews of its matte formula however was very disappointed and after several attempts, I do not use it. During unsuccessful applications, it seemed to go on like a damp powder that would not spread evenly. It was very difficult to tell whether it was applied evenly, therefore I felt that my skin which I’ve worked so hard for and spent lots of money on to diminish discoloration, was vulnerable to damage. I would not recommend this particular SkinCeuticals product, but I love some of their other things.

Good for oily skin
This comes out thick like a light paste rather than a lotion. It goes on with that dimethicone feeling–slick but matte. Personally, for me, it’s too light (there is a slight tint), but my husband has used this for years and loves it. He likes that it reduces the appearance of pores, and it keeps his skin from looking shiny. It definitely stays matte. This would not be good for anyone with dry or flaking skin.

I hate foundation and sunscreen, but this product is the best I have found. I prefer natural and clean. I have tried so many products, but all of them feel heavy, greasy and leave my face shiny. Although this product isn't waterproof and is limited in use, it is perfect for me outside of heavy outdoor exercise or water activities! I love the matte finish and lite feel. It still looks and feels like I'm wearing nothing! If you don't like the "made up" look, but want sun protection...this is a great product!

WOW...pricey, but it's the best!
HIGHLY recommend this sunscreen. While my every day sunscreen is the Elta MD spf 41 in 3oz bottles, this SkinCeuticals is the one I use for ''special occasions'' since it acts as both sunscreen and foundation. My skin is oily, but this sunscreen dries nicely and is NOT OILY...and no shine in pictures either! Bottle is SMALL (1 OZ) and pricey, so I wait for a coupon or for a SkinCeuticals sale. This is the reason it's not my everyday sunscreen.

Mattifying tinted sunscreen
I'm on my second bottle of this, and I really like it because it's mattifying, provides a bit of coverage and lasts a while! Although the bottle looks small, a little does go a long way with this product. Possibly the only downside is that if your skin is on the drier side or has some peeling/dryness this might make it a bit more apparent.

Never get a sunburn again
This SkinCeuticals sunscreen is the best product I have found for my face. I had used their Physical Defense for a few years and recently switched to the matte formula. This is better for me as my face tends to get oily in the warm weather. The combination of the tint, SPF and coverage is ideal. Since I have started to use these sunscreens, I have never had a sunburn. Also, it truly stays on and doesn't slide off as others do. Highly recommended.
