Surprised on how effective it is.
I first used this calming gel with the samples sent to me by LovelySkin. Loved it so much I purchased the full bottle. I get rosacea on my cheeks and this product helps calm it down. It is a bit pricey but considering how much it calms my redness I'm continuing with this gel serum.

Works Better Than Expected
I don't have Rosacea, but my face tends to have a lot of redness, so I decided to try this serum. When I opened the box, I was very disappointed to see that it is a very dark green. I know green is said to neutralize red skin, but I have very light, neutral coloring and always end up looking like the Wicked Witch! It also has a strong smell which made me less inclined to use it on my skin. The bottle sat on my dresser for a few days. while I debated throwing it away. Finally, one morning I was so discouraged with my red face I decided to give it a try. The serum does blend with my skin without leaving a green tinge and the smell gradually fades, so I began to use it twice a day. By the end of the first week most of the overall redness was gone. It was worth getting pass my initial reaction to the color and smell (the reason for 4 stars) because my skin does look brighter and has an even tone without the redness. It's definitely worth trying if you have a redness problem.

Always have on hand
This is a great quick fix for anytime your skin is feeling a little irritated, dry, chapped, razor burned, sunburnt, etc. Not only does it calm irritation right now, but it instantly reduces redness. It can be used as a spot treatment or all over the face. This has also cleared up some dermatitis I had, and it works especially well as an aftershave. I always have one in my cabinet.

Not great for my sensitive skin
I love using this serum, personally I enjoy the smell and it does feel calming when I apply it. I have very sensitive skin and rosacea and this was recommended by my derm. But I do notice that it tends to break me out, so I will not be repurchasing.

I use Skinceuticals products exclusively - 11 products carefully curated. I purchased this item, did the reccomended patch test for 2 days, no reaction. The first night I used a thin layer and the next morning my skin was fine. I have normal, mature skin. I skipped a night just because when I introduce a new product, I err on the side of caution. The next night I applied to face, neck and chest and woke up with a slightly red patch of irritation on my neck - I’ve never had a reaction from a skincare product in 58 years and it was very minor. I waited two days and the slightly red patch was gone so applied product to face, neck and chest and I woke up that morning on fire. My face was fine, but my neck and chest were burning like nothing I’ve ever felt. It was painful and itched like the devil. I didn’t know what to do, nothing helped. Then the blisters came and I was out of my mind with pain and fire. They were oozing and painful- it’s wicked pain. I didn’t know how to find relief - ice was the only somewhat relief I could get. I love this product line and spend thousands a year. I would approach including this product to your routine with an abundance of caution. As I stated, I tolerate every other product fine. I don’t know what ingredient is causing this. It’s the strangest thing - it’s supposed to be soothing, but it did not work out well for me. I see my derm tomorrow and I’ll see what he says

I prefer this serum over the mist. It seems to go deeper in my pores and calm the redness more over the mist, but the must is pretty convenient to use... Quick and easy vs this putting in your hands and massage into face then wash hands. Just my preference to use this over the mist.

Very hydrating
This serum is very hydrating and smooths my skin. I feel like it has helped decrease some of the redness from my cheeks due to rosacea. I have only been using it 3 weeks. I will say that I have to use it at night as it stays a bit tacky, and I can’t get my Oxygenetix foundation to lay over it. It pills bad. I will buy again for evening use!
