The new formula and packaging are winners all around. Don't believe the social media comments about Korean products and their ability to provide hydration. This is the real deal. Yes, it is a bit pricey but it works -- like all SkinMedica products. And you no longer have to wet your skin prior to applying.

Old formula was better
This new formula is average at best - does nothing that I can tell. The old formula gave VISIBLE results immediately. Not sure why they changed it. I’m sending this one back.

I try other products and must say that Skin Medica products are the best and reasonably priced for their quality. I get mine on auto replenish or sales on lovely skin to make them affordable. I have EXTREMELY sensitive, dry, fair skin & react to many expensive products. I received a sample of HA5, added it to my AM/PM regimen & noticed an IMMEDIATE improvement in my skins moisture level & smoothness. I now cleanse with Epionce cream cleanser AM/PM, apply HA5 cream, then SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore moisturizer, eyecream, and In the AM, finish with Elta MD tinted SPF 40 .
