My skin looks so much better since I have started using prescription Retin-A and retinol products at night. I use one or the other three or four nights a week, but had never used this brand. I use SkinMedica Retinol Complex 1.0 three to four times a week before going to bed. My skin looks so smooth, my wrinkles are softened, and discoloration is fading. I also have a prescription for retinol 1.0, but it is too harsh for my skin. I love SkinMedica Retinol Complex 1.0 and can't be without it.

Works better than I expected
I was surprised when I used this that I peeled. I had been using adapalene with is a retinoid (not retinol) that does not need to convert in your skin and I used it every day with hardly any peeling. So I used this product every day too and to my surprise my face became irritated and red so I stopped and waiting a few days and I could literally pull the skin off with my finger like when you have a sunburn that heals and your skin comes off in small sheets. I use it every other day then stop when it gets a little red and burning feeling and let the skin peel. I really think this works great for a retinol.

I was anxious to bump up the percentage after using the lower strength. You must go slowly and work up to using every day. Right now I can only use it about twice per week because my skin peels. It will definitely help the skin.
