Burned my face
Have been using SkinMedica .5 level retinol for several years. Tried the 1.0 & it’s burned my face badly (have mostly been in the house, wear sunscreen & a sunhat when outdoors in daylight after 9:00 am). My face is swollen, itchy, peeling & red. Threw it out and going back to the .5 level.

Worst Skin Irritant
I have used retinol cream for about a year and decided to try this one. This is the worst, most irritating thing I have put on my face. My face became very red and felt like it was burning. My skin was extremely dry for three weeks after no matter what moisturizer I used.

Bad reaction
I had an unexpected allergic reaction to this product. I also had unrelated peeling, which the product description says won’t happen. Didn’t like this due to my allergic reaction. Returning.

Wasn't for me :(
I love SkinMedica; however, this product did not respond well to my skin. I have always used a tretinoin (which is strong), but my face was very sensitive and very red, so I thought I will give this a try. Looking back, I should have probably started off with the .5 rather than the 1.0. Ultimately, I switched up my skincare routine with other products.

Not for me
This is the end of my third week, and my skin has not looked this bad in a very long time. I expected the peeling, but my skin has never been this sensitive/painful, and now that the peeling has slowed, I have hyperpigmentation over both cheeks. Overall, I have not had good luck with SkinMedica products.
