This was a big jump up from the 0.5 I was using the 0.5 everyday without a problem. The 1.0 definitely feels stronger. I recommend you cut way back and work up slowly. I mixed a small dot with the HA every other day for a few weeks.

Skin Medica Retinol Complex 1.0 is as good to better than Retin- A and you do not have a to have a prescription. You cannot use it daily but twice a week wil keep your skin as good as it can be as you age. I cannot say enough good things about this product!

Ok so I’m just going to be honest. I really love SkinMedica products (I love skin care products lol) I am a 35 year old male with thick n rough normal/combo skin and was recommended SkinMedica line by my dermatologist which I started seeing a year ago. Prior to that I have always used my wife’s la Roche posay cleanser (great cleanser and $) and la Roche posay spf 35 and moisturizer. I have been using SkinMedica retinol for 6 months now (started at .25% - months, then .5% - 3 months). it has been almost a month since I started the 1% and wow my skin has never been so smooth, radiant, and I look better than I did in high school. This formula doesn’t irritate your skin, no peeling (unless your not washing your face twice a day and exfoliating weekly) One easy pump a night apply to face and wait a little for it to absorb. It doesn’t take long. It leaves skin feeling hydrated and soft, a lil redness is fine. After 7 months I no longer have any scars on my face, no dark spots, fine lines dissipated, texture is smooth silky, my forehead wrinkles are pretty much gone! no blackheads on nose, and no ingrown hairs. I used to dread shaving every other day. No matter what I did, rough skin with oily tendencies lead to chaotic pores and angry beard stubble. I can say that without a doubt this system works on my skin I hope it can work for you!! My wife can’t believe how much different I look from Christmas last year. Moving up
This is the strongest retinol companies put out. I was using the .5 and had gotten my skin used to it. This is definitely stronger so I try using it only couple times a week until I acclimate otherwise I get flaking. It is a great product but if you are new to retinol probably best to stair step to this strength. I am fair completed and 60 years old. Most people think I am significantly younger. I have been using retinol products for a decade.
