I love the Skin Medica 1.0 retinol complex. It’s the best retinol product I’ve used. It didn’t make my skin red and sore like so many other retinols do after a few days. Using this retinol gradually resulted in a gentle peeling of old skin. It is gentle enough to use every day. Great product.

Great product
I started using this serum after my dermatologist recommended it to me. It’s great for acne and wrinkles. Start with the 0.5 dosage if you’ve never used retinol in the past, you’ll need to build up your skin’s tolerance to the product and probably apply every other day before using it every day because it can be irritating and drying. Also don’t forget to use a good moisturizer, I use IS Clinical emulation and I absolutely love it.

I was using another 1.0 brand and this is so much better. No dryness if you make sure to follow directions. I use my serums then this, then I layer my moisturizer over this. I have had no issues whatsoever. I still only use 3 times a week.

This Retinol really works. All the other Retinols did nothing for me. I already notice that my skin has changed — smoother, brighter and a decrease in lines. I do have to be careful as it does causing dryness in the winter, but sometimes I just switch the retinol dosage to be a little less in the winter months.

I have very sensitive skin. I started with a concentration of 0.5 and saw a difference on my skin. My skin feels firmer. Once I was able to use the 0.5 every day, I switched to 1. 0. I often use it with a moisturizer. I’m using this every 3 days until my skin gets used to it. Doing well until now.

I have been using for several years. Started with .5 and moved up to 1.0. I have very sensitive skin and this is the only retinol I can tolerate. I like to mix with my night moisturiser to evenly distribute and not use too much. I highly recommend. Worth the price. Great results.

Too harsh for my skin
I love SkinMedica products! My skin has never looked so good. I have been using the Retinol .25 strength and decided to try the 1.0 strength. First time I used it my skin peeled for days. Remarkable results
Skinmedica retinol is a true champion that brings remarkable results to aging skin. I actually have used this retinol but not faithful. I don't have wrinkles but I heard great things about retinol and I wanted to try it. I examined few other brands but I liked what I saw on the ingredient list of Skinmedica. It has some very good things in it that nourishes the skin. It did make my skin red- like when I first started using it but I did not peel at all. As I said before I simply did not use this every consistantly on my face. It took me over a year to finish a tube. I would forget to use it for many nights on end not because I thought less of the product, I simply forgot about it. Why I am saying now that this retinol is a champion that brings remarkable results is because I bought another tube and gived it as a gift to one of my co-workers who had deep lines on her face and a rather poorly nourished dull looking dry withered up skin. This bad boy has completely transformed her skin in such an amazing way in a short frame of time. I couldn't believe my eyes and she is extremely happy and greatful that I gived it to her. She uses it every night with absolutely no irritation. The deep lines are mostly gone. Her skin looks brighter and healthier. She looks much more youthful than before. Made me want to try using retinol again and faithful this time around, atleast it may help even out any discoloration I have on my face because this stuff does everything. Works wonderous for wrinkles that's for sure and may not be as irritating for most because of the soothing ingredients packed in this product.
