Worth a try
My dermatologist recommended this to me because I fell and scraped a lot of skin off my knee. I find that I’m healing slower these days and where the scrape is, there’s lots of wrinkles where the knee bends. So, 4months later and the area is no longer scabby, but it’s still highly discolored and sensitive to the touch. I’ve been putting this on twice a day along with “even and correct” and it’s truly beginning to fade and heal better. The injured area is no longer super thick and it’s not quite as sensitive. Although I still have a ways to go, I truly believe this is helping speed the process along faster than it would without it.

Best Scar Therapy Gel

I am using it for a tiny new scar after excision of a very small lesion. I don’t see any difference. On one hand I realize that sometimes you need to be patient and keep using it. On the other I have not seen a difference after a month. At least it did not cause any sensitivity.

I haven't seen dramatic results on my scars from using this but it doesn't seem to be making it worse. I really wanted to use this after a procedure on my eyes but unfortunately it states that you should be careful in that area. I mean, you should never get product in your eyes of any kind but there are some things that are relatively safe like Vitamin E but this is a nono as I think it would hurt you. The consistency is like thick gooey sticky honey and it stays that way after application. If you want to keep moisture on your scar, this should do the trick but I can't say that I have really seen a reduction in scarring.

Irritated skin, if anything
Generally used BioCorneum in the day and Strataderm at night. I don't think either of these helped much if at all. Occasionally there was apparently a skin reaction; the area directly on/around the scar turned red or swelled. Stopped using these after the last time this happened as it was quite substantial. I found a few comments online saying their doctors advised to not use anything OTC as it can cause irritation. Based on my experience, this seems true. Also, while I was using it, the glistening of the gel was quite noticeable. It's not exactly subtle.
