I really like this shampoo!
I I am 62 years old and my hair has started to thin the last couple years. I have been trying to find something to help with this problem without using harsh chemicals ect. I was browsing through lovely skin and came up on Surface Awakening shampoo. I read the reviews and it sounded like something I might like. Although it is quite expensive I thought I would give it a try. I really do seem to like the shampoo. It makes my hair feel fuller and it has a great smell. Although most of the reviews said their scalp tingled when using it but mine does not. I have not been using this long enough to know if it will encourage more hair growth but I I'm hoping it will.

Love Surface Hair Treatments!

Love this shampoo
Have had scalp dermatitis my whole life- on and off with steroids. After using this daily, I no longer have to use a steroid and scalp feels great. Love the tingle. I leave it on a couple minutes though and then use the conditioner. Love it. Have used it several years now. I now have my adult children all loving it also. Nice smell and only have to have one type of shampoo in the house when they visit. I thank my hairstylist for recommending when this product was first released. She had a sample and asked me to try it.

Strips color out of your hair!
This is supposed to be a color safe shampoo for colored hair. I've used it twice and each time it stripped more color from my roots. Now, after 2 times of use, I have red brassy roots on my very dark brown hair! I'm SO upset!

I purchased this after reading all the great reviews, but it’s ok at best. Too expensive compared to other products I’ve used with better results. I have fine hair with oily scalp and it doesn’t add any noticeable fullness or volume. I have to shampoo twice to actually feel like my scalp is clean. I gave 2 stars because of ingredients and does the job as far as cleaning.

Broke me out in a rash
I really wanted to love this shampoo. I use the purple shampoo and Char from this line with no problems. I wanted to try something that would be really good for my hair and scalp. I have VERY sensitive skin, and am very allergic to most products. I am not sure if it was the menthol in this that caused me to react, I felt a lot of tingling but I thought it meant it was working. However, a few hours after I used it, the itching and hives started all around my hairline. I had to go wash it out. I’ll stick with the Char for detoxifying.
