It works
After about a week I noticed that my nails were stronger. After three months, I no longer had the dreaded wide part of hair. It does not grow hair but builds the fine follicles that you would definitely lose. Spend the extra money and buy the Professional product if you are losing your hair. I was freaking out when I finally noticed hair loss. The only warning is that you cannot be allergic to fish. Call the company before you buy to get specifics since I have heard conflicting reports of which kinds of seafood. If you are not allergic to seafood, I doubt you will have a problem.

A derm recommended Viviscal a few years ago and when I used it, I wasn't sure it was doing anything. Until I stopped and I had a lot of shedding and a crazy thinning patch at the top of my head. Restarted a few months ago and have seen significantly less hair loss. Caveat: I only take it once a day as twice a day makes my hair unusually greasy.

Grateful this works for me! My hair was receding in the front (on both sides) ... there was NO hair at all any more. My Dr recommended Viviscal Pro. After 40 days, my hair had started regrowing where it no longer existed. The length of my hair has increased tremendously; the texture improved to being more silky; my hair volume increased (I have very fine and straight hair) and more manageable (fly aways have seized entirely). I am very consistent with it. At 6 weeks I started to see a lot of baby hairs. That’s a long time to be taking pills twice a day without noticing a difference, but new hair growth takes time. At 4 months have many short hairs just growing like grass out of my head. If you’re struggling with hair thinning I do think this is a worthy place to start in treating it - at least it has been for me.
