Have taken these vitamins for 6 weeks for thickening my thin hair. They appear to be gaining new hairs. I guess the product takes 3 months so I will continue to see if there is noticable difference in that time. My friend used them and her hair looks amazing.

I purchased this product on recommendation from my dermatologist. I am a 65-year-old woman with hereditary female pattern baldness. I've had problems with hair loss for 2.5 years now. Six months ago, after trying scalp injections, organic shampoos, lowering the temperature on my flat iron and blowdryer, and taking lots of biotin supplements, I was at wit's end. I tried the Viviscal Professional shampoo, conditioner and tablets (2 a day). I can honestly say that I see a big difference in my hair. I'm not losing quite as much hair, but still more than what is considered normal. However, I have TONS of new growth. The top of my head appears frizzy, but it's just because I have so many new strands of hair popping up. I'm still a little concerned because I continue to lose some of the new shorter hair along with the old longer hair, but either way, it looks a lot better than it did 6 months ago. My doctor also prescribed spironolactone 50mg for me because she thought that may help as well. I started that about a month or so after the Viviscal Professional, but I seem to think it's the Viviscal doing the trick, not the spiro. I am also using ISO BouncyCreme Curl Texturizer (and my hair is not curly), but that seems to help it feel and appear thicker and not so flat and lifeless. I REALLY dislike the taste of these tablets (I have to chew them because I have a hard time swallowing pills), but since they're working for me, I take them anyway. Because of the taste and the fact that I'm still losing some hair, I'll give it a 4-star rating. I have and will continue to recommend this product to my friends.
