I have been on this since February 2025, and I THINK there is a little improvement, but I think I need to give it time before I can give it an honest review. My fingers are crossed to up this to a five!

Caused stomach upset
I want so badly to find a hair vitamin that works but I must be sensitive to biotin. I’ve taken Viviscal for 2.5 weeks now and after the first few days it started causing stomach upset. I will try for a few more days with more food and more water but I already take with a meal and full glass of water so not overly hopeful. :(

I used this product for months and I honestly can’t say it’s working. I take Biotin supplement also. I do have a few baby hair that have grown in but not a significant amount. My hair is still thin and I am still losing a lot of hair. This is expensive so I am not sure I will buy again due to the price.

Increases rate of hair growth
I started using this product about a month ago. I’m in my 60s and have noticed significant thinning in my hair the last three or four years. I started using this product in hopes that it would increase growth and thickness in the areas that have thinned. I color my hair and have definitely already noticed that my roots are growing out faster. So far it appears to have no effect on regrowing the thinner area, as far as increasing thickness. So will It grow back areas that have thinned due to aging? It doesn’t appear so. But if you are simply wanting to increase the speed at which existing hair grows, it definitely does the trick. One caveat— I have learned to take this supplement with food. Taking it even with a light snack or small amount of food results in stomach discomfort and nausea. Some speculate that that is due to the iron in the supplement, although the amount of iron is really not that significant. Bought this on sale and I’m not sure if I will repurchase. Will finish the box and make my decision.

Too soon to tell but beware of fishy taste
Just about a month in so too soon to tell if it works (most advice says it needs 6 months of regular usage to see results). Be aware that it has a very strong fishy taste given its marine ingredients, and this may not be suitable for sensitive users. That said, no major issues or side effects experienced since starting to use.

So Far So Good
I purchased the product for my husband. He has tried several other products, to no avail. He has been taking the Viviscal, for about 75 days now. He has not seen any new hair growth, but losing hair daily has slowed to virtually nothing! That is a win for him! He is continuing to use this and hoping to see some hair growth in the near future!
