Stopped the shedding
I'm 62 and my hair has always been very thick. I started "shedding" a lot in the front a few years ago. This product has slowed that way down. I'm not sure it's growing back, but my hairdresser said he notices my hair is much better than it was. I continue to use it and I'm a repeat buyer! I don't want to run out of the product so it must be helping. I miss my old hair, but I'm grateful it's not getting worse.

Been on these pills for about a year since I started a medication that increases hair fallout. Although it’s tough to say if they’re really making a huge difference, I do feel like they are slowing the rate of fallout (or maybe it’s placebo, who knows). For my situation, it’s gonna be hard to go up against a low-level chemo drug, so I continue to use them to make myself feel like I’m doing at least something to combat the fallout.

The reason for the 4 stars is that I have only been taking this supplement for a few weeks. One thing I can say is that my hair shedding has slowed down. It takes a few months to see new hair growth, so I reserve that last star for more evidence.

too soon to tell
I've been taking these supplements as directed for about two months as directed and will continue for another month at least but so far I haven't seen any change at all with my hair (good or bad). I'll give it more time to see before deciding whether to keep at it. For reference, I am using it more for improved hair health versus for a serious thinning hair issue (61 year old female)

Viviscal used 1.5 months so far
So far I've used it 1.5 months. I haven't seen any changes so far in my hair, but I'm hopeful because I read a research study that demonstrated viviscal pro was effective. It said well more than half of the participants showed increased growth at 3 mo and more growth and added thickness at 6 mo. So I'm holding out for that :). Also, it came super quick in just 2 or maybe 3 days I think.

4.5 Stars The dermatologist convinced me to try this product. I have been using it for 5 consistent months. I cannot take the dose as recommended - only one tablet at night. How do I know it is helping? I have less hair fallout, baby hairs growing, and my crown is thicker. I will continue taking this because it is helping. Crossing fingers it keeps helping. The 4.5 Stars are related to taste. The tablet itself has an odd aftertaste and maybe someday they will modify that or even make these tablets chewable.

Viviscal - Hair Growth Supplement
My doctor recommended Viviscal (hair growth supplement) as a possible solution to my thinning hair. I have been taking the supplements for about three weeks (2 tablets daily - 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening as instructed in the directions). As other users/reviewers and the makers of Viviscal mention, noticeable results will take at least 3 months or longer. At this time, I have not noticed a difference, but I also know that I need to wait for a longer period of time to determine if this product will work. The round tablets are easy to swallow. In my opinion, the tablets taste rather bad when first placed in mouth, but once swallowed I have not experienced an aftertaste. I have not experienced any side effects that were noted on the box. I am hopeful that this supplement will work, but will know after a longer period of time has passed. Four stars are noted at this time since I do not know results of taking the supplement for the required time period.
