I received a free small sized container of this, stuck it in my shower and didn’t use it for a long time. Late last winter my skin was feeling very dry so I thought, “I’ll try this” and I have never looked back. This product is gentle. Nothing I have ever used is this gentle and yet it cleans completely. My skin is so soft after washing my face. As strange as it sounds, my “senior” acne has all but disappeared. I have stopped using my other facial cleansers and use this for my entire body in the shower. I love this stuff!

Best Cleanser for Dry Skin
This has been my go-to cleanser for the past 3 years. I have combination skin, but I chose this cleanser for my dry skin parts because that’s what bothers me the most - and I think it also helps with my oily skin by moisturizing it well (and so it pumps out less oil). Super gentle, lathers well, and great for my sensitive skin.

Not an oil cleanser!
This is not a true oil cleanser so I won’t be repurchasing. It’s a gel that needs to be lathered. I see now that in the directions it does say lather but people don’t normally look at the directions when purchasing something. Oil cleansers are an oil that you use to remove makeup/sunscreen than you use water to emulsify & remove it then a second cleanser is used. This isn’t like that at all. It’s just like a regular gel cleanser. I’m glad I only got the travel size because I would have been even more disappointed.

Best moisturizer
I have been using Avene for several years now after my dermatologist suggested it would be good for my sensitive skin. This is the only product that keeps my face soft and does not cause a bad reaction. It’s anti- aging as well. The cream is heavy enough for the dry Winter months and nice in the Summer if you happen to go out in the sun too long. Really moisturizes. I love it.

Good cleanser
I usually use the extremely gentle cleanser, but wanted to try this to compare. I was expecting an oil type of cleanser. But this feels like a soapy cleanser. It cleanses well, removes makeup, including mascara. I use it in the evenings and follow with a heavy moisturizer.

So gentle yet effective
I can use this to double cleanse and even my waterproof mascara comes off. Usually during the serving cleansing, but I’m amazed it’s able to take off all my makeup with it’s milky texture. I even love to use it for a gentle bath with 5-6 pumps. It stings my eyes a little but not too much.

Not what I was expecting
I purchased this cleanser to use as my ‘first cleanse’ in a double cleanse process. It’s a very thick gel- unlike the ‘oil’ I was expecting. It doesn’t spread around my face very easily and doesn’t emulsify as much as I would have hoped it would. It does seem to cleanse the face nicely, but also burns my eyes. I should note that I don’t have eczema or psoriasis so I can’t comment on how it works for sensitive skin.

This is not as moisturizing as I had hoped. It leaves your face slightly tight feeling not moisturized. I read reviews and thought if people with eczema found it to not be drying it would work for mature skin. I will go back to my cleansing cream.

Gentle moisturizing cleanser
This cleanser has been a wonderful addition in my skincare routine. I only use it once a week since it has an alpha hydroxy acid in it, but it's really helped my facial and body dryness immensely. If you suffer dryness, this would make a great addition to your dryness routine.

Would recommend with one caveat
My brother (who is just as skincare obsessed as I am) recommended this cleanser after one of his favorite skincare YouTube gurus posted about it. I was skeptical at first but turned out to be pleasantly surprised! This oil to foam cleanser left my skin feeling hydrated and plump, and the lather didn’t seem to strip moisture at all. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it’s not the best at removing makeup, unlike many of the oil cleansers I’ve used before. Other than that, this is a great everyday cleanser if you aren’t wearing a ton of makeup that needs to be removed—-or if you do wear lots of makeup and don’t mind following up the cleanse with a swipe of micellar water!
