Good Primer
I’ve been using this primer for years and can’t find a better one. It can be worn alone, but I use the Colorescience mineral foundation over it. It goes on easy and provides sun protection plus helps with oil control. The only downside I’ve had is the pump on the bottle doesn’t always work and can take some manipulation/time to get it working properly, so packaging could be better.

If you have oily skin, this is a clean, effective primer that will prevent you from looking as if your makeup is melting halfway through the day. I have worn this product for years. It’s not rare at all for me to get questioned on how my makeup stays looking fresh. I have very oily skin and typically can’t use anything that is mattifying because I will break out. This stuff is impressive and is my go to primer now. I got this for my husband to use to even out his skin, and he seems to like it OK. When I use it, I find that it doesn't quite go on as smoothly as I want it to when wearing under makeup. If you don't need this with makeup, I'd say go for it, but if you are using it as a primer, it is not my favorite.

The vendor, LovelySkin was awesome. The free samples they offered were terrific, too. However, the new version of what used to be Colorscience Skin Calming Primer is not as good as the original! I don't like that scent has been added. I am also not as happy with the consistency of the new product. I'd say, bring back the original Skin Calming Primer.

Makeup application is more difficult...
This primer goes on nicely and feels very light on the skin, but it makes the application of liquid foundation a frustrating and difficult task. It almost feels as though you are applying foundation on a glue-like surface, rather than a smooth surface that other primers produce. Using this primer wastes more time on makeup application, and also wastes more foundation in the process. And although it produces a matte finish, it is no more mattifying than other primers on the market. It is so "sticky" that when I blot my face with tissue to soak up oil, minute remnants of tissue get stuck to my face. Perhaps this primer is better-suited for those who wear loose mineral and powder foundations.
