This product gives a beautiful glow after the first use, it is not harsh on my skin and it did not make my skin peel or become sensitive. Good for maintenance
These pads provide a good, mild exfoliation. Doesn't cause me to peel or flake, but does create a freshness and glow. I use them once a week on my face, neck and chest because I use a nightly exfoliating toner (lotion P50). So I don't need to use the Gross 2x a week. I think these pads are good for staving off hyperpigmentation (and blemishes if you have them), and helps other products absorb better. But in my opinion, it is not a strong peel--even the extra strength. It's an exfoliant.

Adult Cystic Acne
Female 25~28 year old with sensitive combo skin, never used accutane, used Retin-A for only one month 2 years ago, and use Mario Badescu products (cleanser, moisturizer, facial spray). I was going to an esthetician bi-weekly ($45-50 per treatment, which wasn't unreasonable), where my acne just hurt so badly and lowered my self-esteem so much that I got desperate. After seeing my esthetician for 1.5 years, she raised her prices without telling me, AND made new clients off of my before-and-after pictures, where she gave me zero incentives (no discounts, no free facials--zilch)! Naturally, I got upset and looked elsewhere to get the similar~same results. Upon learning about the extra strength peels, I realized that I wouldn't get ripped off by someone that I dedicated my progress to. I find this quite comparable (less in intensity of course) to the glycolic and pumpkin peels that we used on my face, and it's much cheaper as I use the peels every other day. I no longer have active acne, my cystic scars don''t last nearly as long, and my skin looks insanely smooth and hydrated the morning after. I STILL use this even though I have minimal active acne! Once my scars have gone away, I think I'll bump the peels down to the regular strength peels for maintenance. Needless to say, my confidence jumped back up with the use of these peels! Great product. I would recommend starting with the regular strength if you’re sensitive or just trying a chemical exfoliator. I use once a week. These really help slough any dead or built up skin away. Don’t use on nights or in combination with retinol if you’re a regular retinol user like myself

I'm a fan of Dr. Dennis Gross products, especially his peels. I like that his products aren't tested on animals and are effective. These extra strength peels are strong but not too strong that it makes my skin red/flaky. The 5 pack is a good option for when I don't feel like spending over $100 and just need a few. I’m unable to get facials right now because of my schedule and the distance to my aesthetician’s office. I received a sample of the regular strength Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads, and they did a good job without irritating my sensitive skin. I decided to purchase the extra strength pads after reading the other reviews, and WOW! My skin glows after using them. I had issues with breakouts and clogged pores from a moisturizing cream that needed to be cleared, and these cleared every spot within a week. My skin is brighter and less tired-looking, too. I use a 1% retinol at night, too, and my skin isn’t irritated by this combination. I’m floored–*everything* bothers my sensitive skin but not these! I’m so glad that I made this purchase! Next time, I’ll order the larger box!
